My wife and I have been going for the fish fry a few years now. It was always excellent until last Friday. I don't know if it's a new cook or prep procedure, but my fish was terrible. Everything else was good as it always has but the fish was strong, soggy and had quite a few bones.
Have breakfasts on Sundays, everything is tasty and the bacon is thick. A good breakfast is so satisfying!
Since stumbling upon this gem almost 14 years ago, it instantly became my favorite restaurant. To this day whenever someone asks me about food in the U.P. I tell them, in my opinion it is the best place to go. You can can walk in and always expect to receive the most deliciously prepared food, a warm atmosphere with locals chatting in the background, and great service.
