Summers in Michigan are truly phenomenal especially on a sunny 84 degree day. I have enjoyed the treasures of SOHA since being a freshman at WMU in the 1990s. Foolishly or wisely (depending on your point of view), I used to kick it on South Haven beaches instead of studying hard on beautiful days. For almost two decades after graduating from WMU, I brought my sons to SOHA ever fall for male bonding during Homecoming weekends. South Haven has been great to me and my wallet has been great to local businesses. Yesterday’s experience at Harbor Light Brewery was transcendent! I had been in October by myself because my wife was violently ill during a brutal pregnancy. I sipped a few delicious beers and listened to smooth jazzy music. I Facetimed her from the hotel. Well, I was back alone yesterday because I have been offered a job within 40 miles of one of my favorite oasis spots. My wife (who delivered ourbmiracle daughter in May) gave me the GREEN light to have a day of contemplation, rest, rejuvenation, and dream building. The staff (from the incredible manager and everyone in between) treated me like royalty. They allowed me free access to a phone charger, chatted with me about serious and light-hearted issues, and poured some world class flights! Thank you for epitomizing and walking out the word HARBOR!!!! Harbors are safe, welcoming, and places to lay roots. No matter what career choice I make, I can assure SOHA that I will support this business for life! No more skanky Natural Light like back in the 1990s. Cheers and kudos to you all!!!!!

Top notch choice of beers. Great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back. Barmaid Patty was great.

Hattie is absolutely incredible! She is so personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve been to harbor light several times and I keep returning for the beer but mostly for Hattie, if you come in definitely ask for her! She deserves a raise!

I don’t remember the name of it but I tried the kiwi lime gose and really enjoyed it!

My husband is a hobby brewer so we love checking out local breweries when visiting new places and Harbor Light was a great stop on our trip. Even though they don’t serve food you are allowed to order from local areas or bring it in while they serve you great brews and ciders. It’s in a great location and the service was great. Cool spot to check out when in South Haven!

A Perfect Pint for Hop Lovers

This IPA is everything a hop-forward beer should be. From the moment you crack the can, you’re hit with bright aromas of citrus, pine, and a hint of tropical fruit. The first sip delivers a bold punch of bitterness that’s perfectly balanced by a subtle malt backbone, keeping it from being overpowering.

Wow, what a great place to stop for a drink! Live music, fresh (free!) popcorn, and lovely staff. 10/10 place to unwind and sip a local brew :)

Very cool place to try a few new drafts. Visited on a Friday afternoon just after the Happy Hour ended. Not too many people were in the brewery. Had the Schermerhorn Shandy (Orange Cream Ale), Red Haven (Peach Cider), Blue Haven (Peach Blueberry Cider), and the Lovin Spoonful (Stout). The Blue Haven was the best. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the service.

When I looked it up on Google, it showed pizza on their menu. When I got there it was on there down at the bottom that you had to call somebody and have it delivered. I was not happy and we left.
