This is the second time that I have been to the lodge. The first time was right after they opened. I wasn't super impressed and just did not have a reason to go back. Decided to give it another go. As many people do like the lodge. And it is okay. It is bar food. The sandwiches and burgers are overly large and thick and difficult to eat without a knife and a fork. I don't think that they are particularly great quality. They are served in baskets rather than on plates...

We went to The Lodge for dinner on a Sunday night, and it was quite crowded — clearly a popular local spot. It’s described as a from-scratch kitchen with craft cocktails, and I’d say that’s accurate. Think dive bar vibe but with genuinely good food.

We started with the deviled eggs, which were very tasty with a super smooth filling. Nothing unusual or over-the-top creative about them, just classic and well done.

We had dinner there the other day. I had the perch platter that was nicely cooked and seasoned. My other half had a quesadilla black beans, corn and cheese that wasn't just on the inside but was fried crispy with the tortilla. Wonderful! The service was wonderful even though they were busy. Highly recommended.
