Tina’s Katalina in South Range, Michigan has a truly warm and inviting atmosphere. We were immediately seated and got menus and our coffee and water orders.
I ordered the Tina’s Krap- and wow do you get a lot of food, expertly cooked and delicious, for the price. The wheat toast was buttery and delicious, and the egg, bacon hash browns were the perfect way to start the day.
The service was incredible, very friendly and perfect timing on coffee refills.
I got to talk with the cook a little before we left and mentioned that this was one of my first jobs years ago, and that was nice. She takes great pride in her cooking and I can tell, she is doing a great job!
Definitely stop in at Tina’s Katalina!

My wife said their 3 Meat Omelette was the best omelette she has ever had. The Miner's breakfast was filling and tasty. I am sure the small town locals couldn't care less how dated it looks. We were too busy enjoying our food to care either. Sububan yuppies may be scared off by the appearance. We will be back every time we are in the Keweenaw

The food is outstanding. Excellent breakfasts and lunches. Soups and chili is out of this world. The blueberry pancakes are a must try. They’re huge! Service is always cheerful, friendly and efficient. And the decor is always cute and seasonal. 5 star for sure!

70+ minutes waiting. NO FOOD served during this entire time. No apology. If you want to STARVE inside a restaurant, this is the perfect place.
Totally understand that staff can be busy — but a simple apology, a realistic time estimate, or even a “thanks for waiting” would’ve made a difference. None was given. NEVER coming back.

Service was fast and very plesant. The food had average portions, the bacon and sausage were delicious, pancake was good, the eggs and hash browns tasted like the oil they were fried in and it was a little off putting. The bathroom was tiny if you are plus size I would suggest stopping for gas and using their facilities first. The door was hand carved and very unique and they sold local art.

Have always loved this place and the food. Went today on July 19, 25. We walked in and were seated for a very long time when we put in our order. 20 minutes later it looked and sounded like the waitresses friends walked in where they put an order in as they were talking on a personal level. Their order was sent out before ours and they were done, paid for, and out the door before we even got our food. Sure puts a bad taste in your mouth. Food is good but breakfast should be hot and fast as it's an easy meal. Was an easy hour plus there today.
