The staff are very polite, friendly, and quick.
Looking to try something different I ordered the Pad Khing.
While waiting, I used the restroom. Paper towel dispenser out of order. It got my thinking. When I returned to the dining area I noticed several other things. Tape on the edges of tables. Worn seating surfaces. Miscellaneous little things that added up, a definite need repair or replace that conveyed a sense of the place being run down.
The food was fine.
The hot & sour soup came with but it was only half full.
I ordered the Pad Khing with scallops (a favorite that I haven't seen anywhere else in the area) but was disappointed at how few there were. I don't mind the smaller sized ones, but there should have been more than 4-5 in the entire dish. And there was a very strong floral note to the dish.
I got the sense that they are cutting corners in a lot of areas. Don't know why but it was not reassuring. I doubt I'll stop in again.

So first of all the food came out fast, I appreciate that I DoorDash also so I stopped here for lunch and I didn’t have long.
I got shrimp pad Thai for about 12 bucks
And I got it spicy(hot)
Oh 👍🏾
Its great chat
Lol
The noodles really soak up the flavor, and for people who like spice like myself, it is actually spicy🫡

The food is simply not as good as it used to be and today was my last time coming here. They wanted to charge me $30 for chicken fried rice, spring rolls, crushed peanuts and 2 slices of lemon. Like huh? If the food was great how it used to be I wouldn't have mind but no. I went to Wing Fellas where the food and service is always top tier. Paid $30 for basically 3 meals.

The food here is amazing. I made a mistake on my order, They were gracious and kind about it, They replaced it with what I really wanted with no problem. 10 out of 10 recommend for the customer service alone.

I ordered from Bangkok Hung Cafe in Southfield and noticed a price discrepancy — the dish I selected was listed at $10.95, but I was charged $16.95. When I called, I was told their prices increased in October. I understand that prices can change, but the menu I ordered from still showed the old price.

I would just recommend updating the prices online to avoid confusion and surprise charges. The food was good, but transparency matters too.

Had not been there in 20 years, so went back in July 2025 based on good memories of tasty food. Went in the evening at 7pm, to note that they serve nothing vegetarian (as explained by the waitress), though their note on the internet says they do. Disappointed- will take this restaurant permanently off my list.

Very disappointed in the service I just recently received from this location. There was a long piece of hair in my food. At first it seems that they didn't believe me and when I ask for them to re make it and add extra chicken the lady(maybe it was the manager) came to the table with an attitude and told me no. Customer service is important and I have been coming to this place for over 10 years and the one time in a while I choose to sit down I had this horrible experience. Guess I will have to find me another Thai place. Oh and PS the food is not as good anymore either.

I used to come to Bangkok Hung Café back in the early 2000s when I worked at Verizon, and I remember the Thai food being absolutely delicious back then. Fast forward to today—my current company (which I’ve been with for over 20 years) recently moved to 12 & Northwestern, and I was surprised and excited to see this place was still around, just down the street.

I stopped in for lunch, and I have to say, the staff was incredibly friendly and upbeat—really welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to my memories. I ordered the Pad Thai and found it pretty bland and lacking flavor. The portion size was also on the smaller side, and they were a bit stingy with the chicken and noodles.

It was a bit of a letdown given how much I used to enjoy it. I really wanted to love it again, but the food just didn’t hit the mark this time.

Yum yum. It's always great visiting here.

I ordered drunken noodles and curry chicken fried rice. So once I made it home I noticed the drunken noodles had veggies (I didn’t want) and more drunken veggies than noodles. Called back, they remake them with no problem but the taste was off and the noodles were sticking together. Tried to reheat the next day but it’s like gel you have to eat the drunken noodles same day. The curry chicken fried rice was a different taste and a lil mushy from what I’m used to but it was surprisingly good. Oh, it’s a lil sweet even with the heat and only a few pieces of chicken. I’m going to get the rice again but a whole container of noodles was wasted so I guess for the drunken noodles to be good the veggies are needed. For both it was $29

I rated 3 because the drunken noodles was wasted.

Ordered fried rice with squid, and the squid was absolutely disgusting tasting. It smelled like an old kitchen rag... just gross. My daughter asked for half & half of chicken and tofu, and we were charged for extra/double meat, even though the portion of each protein was definitely half (a few pieces of tofu and a hand full of pieces of chicken). I would not go here again.
