Death of an American institution is what came to mind. I grew up with Elias Big Boy in the 70'sdown the street from my child hood home on E Grand Blvd and Gratiot. My family has visited the one in Madison Height several times and have not been there in quite a while. So, when I was taking my daughter to a doctor's appointment, we both said the very same thing, we haven't been there in a while. When she was done with her appointment, we pulled into the restaurant parking lot. The smell coming through the door should have been our first clue. Service was my second and the food was the camel that broke our back. Will not be back anytime soon!

Amazing Staff! Plenty of parking spaces!! Good was good! I left my wallet in the bathroom by mistake. I called Big Boys immediately they found it n kept it until I made it back up there! All my money n items in my wallet was untouched!! Very Honest employee! I even tried to give her money for honesty n she wouldn't let me

I was passing through Southfield on a road trip from Canada and decided to stop at Big Boy Burger—glad I did. The burgers were really tasty, fresh off the grill, and hit the spot after a long drive.

What made the stop even better was the manager—an absolute sweetheart. Super friendly, checked in to make sure everything was good, and made the place feel genuinely welcoming. You don’t always get that kind of hospitality when you're just passing through.

If you're in the area and want a solid burger and a warm atmosphere, this place is worth the detour.

This is a Beautiful establishment and they play Worship and Praise music! That part!! I was so moved and of course the food is Excellent! It's rare to find a Christian business nowadays, and when I do, I become a regular customer! I'm taking my daughter back here on the 31st, which is my Birthday!¹¹

Dietary restrictions: Big Boy has come back with an expanded menu that has a choice of several tasty wraps and lemonade. If your doctor wants you to add a fresh salad or cole slaw, this is easily added to your meal.

Parking: Usually, there is sufficient handicapped parking. Although they don't have automatic doors yet, the staff do go out of their way to accommodate elderly and disabled customers.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no restrictions for getting rollators or wheelchairs in and out of the building.

Service was good and friendly. The breakfast bar was uninspiring. The gravy for the biscuits was ready bland.
