Captain Jay's Fish & Chicken

I’m truly frustrated with my experience here. The staff was completely distracted, video calling and ignoring me while I asked questions. The entire situation felt disorganized, and it seemed like they had no regard for the customers. Given the prices they charge, you would think you would receive at least a basic level of attention and professionalism, but this establishment failed to deliver. I won’t be returning, and I would recommend finding a place that genuinely appreciates your time.

Stopped by since I was working close by . They were pretty quick with the order and welcoming, Dayshia was the person at the register and I always enjoy a people’s person, compared to most people in customer service that always have a idc attitude . Good for you guys

made a quick pitstop into Captain Jay’s in Southfield for the first time in a very long time to grab some mac & cheese as a side to go with our dinner glad I did! Mac & cheese was delicious as we remembered, staff was friendly, from counter to sitting area, everything was clean!

Very impressive food, fried fish and chicken. Took a minute to decide, a lot of choices. I went with wings and catfish, very good.

We walked in the door notified the workers we were there . The lady behind the back counter which we were about 5 feet from never looked up to see or say anything . I said hello , she never looked up never noticed we were there ! So we left ! Thanks a lot ! That was our very first time there and probably our last !!!

The food was satisfactory, but the staff's demeanor today was exceedingly poor. The lady operating the register appeared impatient, seemingly expecting orders to be placed within her timeframe. Despite the store being empty, with only my father-in-law, the children, and myself present, she displayed irritation and remarked that she had allocated sufficient time for us to decide on our orders. Her behavior gave the impression that her shift was ending or that we were inconveniencing her. Initially, it seemed that she was the sole staff member, handling all tasks, until another young lady and a gentleman emerged from the back area approximately 10-15 minutes later to assist her.

The service was fast and friendly.

By far the me BEST CAPTAIN JAYS ever , they haven’t missed yet. I drive all the way from Novi to that exact location whenever I want chicken. The lady in the kitchen is so pleasant every time I see her. keep up the good work

The taste is delicious, but they only mention that the chicken is halal. It would be better if they also displayed a physical halal certification for assurance.
