Captain Jay's Fish & Chicken

I got no lemon pepper on my food. Why would I want capt jays without the lemon pepper? I ordered online and there is no way to tell them to make sure I had lemon pepper.

I originally started coming to this location because the food is better than the other one in Southfield closer me. The manager Ky'ron(I hope i spelled it right) was very professional and accommodating. I had an issue and he displayed great customer service and made sure we were Satisfied customers. This is sooooo rare nowadays! I will continue to patronize this location because of his level of customer service and professionalism!

Gave two stars because the people who work at the location have good customer service. The owner, however, is an unscrupulous and deceptive person. He decided to change the container for the large fries to literally something that made sure you receive 60% less fries...and did NOT disclose the change prior to accepting people's money! And then have the nerve to have a "no refund" policy! That's like ordering your normal large wings that has 10 pieces and then changing the large to 4 pieces for the same price! Avoid this place and don't support a greedy immoral business.

Very Crispy and Juicy, must try the Lemon pepper🔥

Chicken was fried to perfection, crispy skin but the meat was tender and juicy. The cj seasoning might actually have crack cocaine in it. The fried okra was good but not really my thing. The real star of the show is their french fries. They’re like Burger King fries from the 90s when they were good. Now they were kinda green like they got fries with the okra or something but why do I care, the food was bussin

Ordered #12 Cat Fish & Shrimp Combo w/Kool Aid ($17.49). Greeted with friendly faces and hot food. The place was clean and there weren't a lot of customers. The wait wasn't long, either. The only cons were that the prices seemed to have increased and the meat was really salty.....unfortunately.

Every time I come there and ask can I get my chicken cooked fresh and I get home it is old they always redrop it back down in the grease I would never come back to the Southfield location this is the second time this happened if you can't drop it fresh just say so just tell me that y'all got chicken that's been up for 2 hours and you will drop it back down in the grease if I want it hot!!!!!!

First off, I would like to thank Ladarius for his amazing customer service! He has the greatest energy and my family and I greatly appreciated his service! It seems like it’s a battle to get folks to be kind nowadays but this was no problem, here! It’s a great atmosphere! Next, I’d like to compliment you all on your perfectly fried okra!! Soooo delicious! And last but not least… the store is very clean and welcoming! It has been a while since I’ve discovered a clean “Captain Jay’s”. I honestly stopped shopping at the others because they often smell like mildew and bad mop water. Thank you very much! Whenever I have a taste for my old time favorite, I will return to this location!

They were very efficient.

Been here a few times. I’ve tried there regular combos which isn’t bad.

But the best thing they have is the lunch combo for $6. You can get a few varieties for lunch. But I usually get the chicken 2 piece combo. Comes with coleslaw or potato salad and fries and roll. No drink.

But for $6 bucks you get a good portioned lunchbox. Definitely try that lunch combo. With extra lemon pepper seasoning.

You not getting $6 lunches any more at other places.

Told me 5 minutes wait on perch. Had me wait for my food for 30 minutes just to say the fish frozen and they don’t give money back, you have to wait until it unthaws. Terrible
