Daebak Korean BBQ

Highly recommended Korean restaurant if you live nearby or work nearby. There are not much good food choices nearby anyway.
There is bell you have to press to get server attention. Doesn't work very well.
Food is ok. The marinated meat from the BBQ is maybe too salty. At least they marinated it. You have to eat it with rice. Korean salad is very good, plenty of greens and good amount of dressing to start your meal.
First time having Naengmyeon cold noodle. Noodle is too tough to chew for my liking. Galbi the short ribs and seafood pancake is probably the best thing we ordered.
To -go is pretty good too. Lunch menu stop at 3 so front desk put in an order for me before kitchen take a break.
Beef japchae, I figure it is a safe choice to pick for to go order. It just noodles. I got quite good amount of food. A small box for sides( kimchee and broccoli) then the main bowl I have japchae on top of a bed of white rice. Good flavor. Very fulfilling. $15 is pretty good deal.

Just left the restaurant, and I really enjoyed the food. There was a small miscommunication with my order, but nothing that couldn’t be easily fixed. Unfortunately, the cashier seemed very irritated and had an attitude about the mistake. It felt like she had no intention of helping me, and even tried to place the blame on me, which was frustrating because it wasn’t anyone’s fault.

However, the manager was extremely polite and helpful. He took the time to explain how to order next time, and even brought my food to my table after I went up to check on it and the cashier walked away, leaving me standing there. I really appreciate the manager for noticing the situation and professionally stepping in to make things right.

Overall, thanks to the manager’s kindness and professionalism, I still highly recommend this restaurant.

Beware of serious health risks here. Daebak serves raw chicken on same plate as its beef offerings + veggies. Raw chicken slime all over everything. This type of cross contamination is the #1 cause of illness and a serious food safety risk due to harmful bacteria like Salmonella. They don’t even give you separate tongs for the chicken, which is food safety 101. Eat at your own risk and very surprised such basic food safety is being ignored in such a dangerous manner.

My family hasn’t been to Daebak in about a year. We always look forward to Korean BBQ. We were so disappointed! It’s not the same…food was mediocre and the bathrooms were in gross condition.
Hopefully it was a fluke. It used to be our favorite!

I used to happily drive over an hour for this place but the most recent time I went I had such a meh experience 😭. They seemed to have changed all the side dishes, the recipes for the soup, and the quality of the meat. I’m not sure if these were cost cutting measures or if management changed or something but it was honestly unrecognizable from when I first had it a couple years ago which I’m so sad about because it used to be the best kbbq in the area by a long shot

I visited this establishment last night 10/24/25 around 5pm with 2 of my friends. It was our first time which we did mention to the waiter upon arrival. I'll make a long story short, the food was good, I ordered the A1 so it's enough food for a party of 4 costing around $129, we received large portions of meat, and a few small sides, but the service was terrible in my opinion. We didn't get offered any refills on our drinks, the water, sauces, anything. We had long wait times to switch out or pans to cook and it wasn't even busy yet. It's a 20% gratuity added to the bill and for the amount I paid, I just expected more, even when we did hit the call button just for a sauce refill it seemed as if we were a bother. I don't think I'll be going back.....sidenote it's a cute in the inside

Small portions sizes for expensive combos and meat that is about average. They charge $5 just for lettuce wraps. All the people that served us seemed unhappy

- Wow, sever was doing nothing but gravity automatically 20%, server should be proactive serving with 20% gravity
Owner should educate more serving members

1st time at a Korean restaurant - Loved the atmosphere, but couldn't really appreciate all of the dishes; as I'm not Korean.

The angel hair pasta w/shrimp left something to be desired; it was bland, needed some type of flavorring.

Overall, I'll be back to try some other dishes and in becoming more acquainted with Korean food, I'm sure I'll appreciate the food/cooking more.

Ps - I didn't appreciate the automatic 20% gratuity charge. The service did not warrant a 20% gratuity charge.

Not impressed with the hygiene. We love bbq wrapped in lettuce, but my wife found a dead fly in in them! And then we realized why it had such a muddy flavor... The staff apologized and took off about $5 for the lettuce cost, but that hardly made up for the experience.🥲

This wonderful place is right around the corner from where I work and nothing gets me more excited than a day planned where we go here for lunch. Not only is the food fantastic but the atmosphere is perfect. I have never ate a restaurant that was this consistent. From cooking the meats and veggies myself to ordering off their ready to eat menu. I highly recommend it. However, I do suggest for your first time going with someone who has been there before or understands the type of restaurant this is so you get the full experience!
