Too bad because I wanted to like this place. I ordered a walleye dinner. First of all it wasn't walleye they sold me some other type of fish that was dense and had the bloodline still in it. I'm a fisherman so I know my fish. Second the fish they did give me wasn't good at all. And lastly I heard one of the guys in back using the N word on a couple occasions. Won't be coming back here. I spent almost $20 but now have to go to McDonald's down the street for lunch

This place used to be on point but no longer black owned and service is very poor at best. I placed an order online BEFORE the cut off time and got there 10 minutes before closing. The door was locked but I saw they got my order AND my money. I banged on the door and this RUDE man came and looked and me, flipped me off and walked away! They took my order AND my money so I had to request a refund via Door Dash and wait 3-5 business day. While I was sitting here doing this review BEFORE 8pm. Some other folks came who also did Door Dash orders before the cut off time and tried to get in and found the door locked before closing as well (see pic-it was quite a few here before 8 and they found a locked door too) so they are going to have to request refunds via Door Dash too.. First of all DONT take my order and MONEY if you are not going to fulfill It and close early and you got a lot of nerve flipping me off thru the glass…would not dare do me like that if I was in there. I will continue to go to the original one that is still on point on the Lodge service drive in Detroit…never again at this location, especially with the bad reviews I see. Complete jerks!

Nope! used to order here years ago & was pleased. Unfortunately today was not the same experience. My food looked different than website pics. I don’t eat many fries, so a couple good ones would’ve sufficed. You look at em.. not sure if the potatoes or grease were old or they were cooked yesterday, but they weren’t edible. Orange Roughy was thin & shrimp were ok. So $25 later for 2 pieces of skinny fish, 4 shrimp, & some yucky ? fries…guess I’ll go cook. Service was good tho & the menus were new. Guess I know where the extra $ is going. Surely not to the food.

This isn’t the place you go if you’re trying to watch your weight ?. Of course that’s not why we patron…it’s a guilty pleasure…I’ve been several times. DF&S appears to inject a bit of southern soul flavor as their batter uses corn flour and distinct spices in the batter. Unlike many fried food eateries, it feels like they use much higher quality ingredients. I was really surprised they had lobster tail & deep fried corn. Sehr lekker!!! Reasonable price points. Small, but clean take out only restaurant. By reducing overhead costs they channel resources into good eats. Within this category I give them a solid 4 stars. Don’t miss out on this innocuous strip plaza location because it’s worth a gander.

This is the best chicken and fish restaurant ever! They season everything to perfection the chicken is nicely coated, the kool aid is out of this world and their service is magnificent! This place you have to try for yourself ITS A MUST! Trust me u will leave satisfied
