Very nice vibe, love all the different pic of Joe Louis they tell a really nice story of him that I never knew. The server's were really nice and the food was great I just forgot to take pics because we were discussing our book for our bookclub and when the food arrived it was looking so good I just delved right in LOL!! and completely forgot to take pics 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️But I will definitely be going back 💜

Didn't know this was open. Glad I drove by. Everything that I ordered was excellent. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was really cool (especially the detail and ring at the center of the restaurant). Will be back .

I was driving by and saw that this new restaurant was now open. I thought I'd try it for lunch. It basically serves breakfast, including some with seafood. My server was very nice. I ordered the JLSK (Joe Louis Southern Kitchen) combo. The eggs were somewhat overcooked and the sausage could have been grilled more. The 'homemade ' strawberry jam' wasn't a jam and wasn't even a jelly. It was like strawberry juice/sauce. The cheesy grits only had a little shredded cheddar sprinkled on top, not enough to really call it 'cheesy. I've had grits that were cheesier and more well seasoned. It was very disappointing. I will not return.

Took my mom and the food was excellent! Definitely southern comfort! Our waitress Sandra was very attentive! We will definitely be back to try other menu items!

The wait was entirely too long. The waitress could not get our order right. The food came out 45 minutes after you ordered and still wasn’t right.

This Location drew us in with the southern cooking sign and was great food, the turkey sausage gravy was very flavorful and the the homemade jam finished off the biscuits with a K.O. this place should make Joe Louis Family Proud to have his name.

The food is so good! Hell- as someone who lives out of state, I'd drive back to detroit just for another one of their biscuits. And that's just a side. I don't even know where to begin about the mains 🤣 You won't be disappointed with the experience if you choose to dine here.
