It's a wait to get your food ...I would say pickup is best as you can't order all the items table side which defeats the purpose ...however it just might be the best soul food ive ever had !!!!!!!!

I went during Happy Hour. The food was ok, the drinks weren’t strong, and the service was horribly slowwwwwww.

The servers all need to be on one accord when making the plates it was a line so I seen plates before mine being made very nice portions where given another server jumps in to help and made my dinner she literally gave a half scoop of rice with my red beans and rice after I stood in line and watched the other lady give nice portions I had plans on buying two cheesecakes and two kool aids to go with my mean but the lady who made my dinner attitude was nasty she got mad because how I was looking and asked is there a problem I didn’t say anything I just requested to take the cheesecakes and kool aids off my order so I could just buy a side of rice when I should not have had to do that especially for the price I want mine to be made right and my monies worth that’s it

A friend and I came to this establishment as first time customers. We were there for the lunch special. We waited in line for approx. 45+ min. by the time our order was taken at the register, it was approx. 2:42pm. When I expressed to the cashier that we were here for the lunch special but we have been in line all this time. The only thing she said was well I’m sorry the special ended at 2:30pm.
They need a better process to ensure that customers who arrive at least 15 or more minutes before the special ends that they are served the lunch special prices. Otherwise, they need to get more help to serve the customers expeditiously or extend their lunch special to 3 o’clock. This restaurant could check their cameras and see who was there for the lunch special and see how many customers had left because the wait was too long.
I sampled the dressing it tasted like a doctored up version of stovetop stuffing. I sampled the greens they were too salty. I sampled the sweet potatoes they tasted like they were out of a can doctored up with extra sugar/spices. I ended up ordering the baked chicken, all white meat, a side of string beans and a side of rice with chicken gravy. What I received was a slice of cornbread, one wing, one breast that was the size of a chicken thigh, a half a scoop of rice all this was put in a 3 piece compartmental styrofoam carryout box ON TOP of CHEAP parchment paper. Therefore, my food was sticking to the paper as the paper was breaking apart, so I could not enjoy the food because I was too busy picking paper off the rice and baked chicken. The string beans were served in a separate container that was a decent size. I’m not sure why the server did not put the food directly into the individual compartments, put the parchment paper on top then close the carryout box. This disproportionate meal was not worth $22.00. The food portions that I was served did not look like the pictures. I’m not sure if I will give this restaurant another opportunity to serve me. If I do I would definitely get there at 1 o’clock to ensure that I can get the lunch special because the food portions is not worth $15.00+. Also, the servers need to be trained on giving out UNIFORM portions, timeliness as well as how to properly put the food in the three piece compartmental carryout boxes. For the record the baked chicken was flavorful : )
If this restaurant doesn’t value customer feedback and make some immediate changes this restaurant will not last in this area.
Dietary restrictions: If you are diabetic or have high blood pressure, you may want to reconsider eating here.
The food is decent, always out of something that's on the menu. Severs are slow the line moves slow. It's advertised as a buffet but it's not. And not enough room to move around throughout the place. Some of the staff is friendly. And the food could be seasoned a little bit more for the establishment to be called a soul food restaurant.

The food is very good. I'm not easy to please with soul food. Simply because my grandma throws down so the standard is set high. However, out off all the options in this market. This lace i've enjoyed the most. I have plans to come back!

This was a very bad dining experience for my family. This is not a buffet. It is cafeteria style serving. We would not have came had we known how it operates. You wait over 30 minutes for a table. (Sunday) We arrived at 5:30pm, put our names on the waiting list for a table. We were seated around 6:15pm. Then after standing in a cafeteria styled line for over an hour, I did not sit down to eat my soul food until 7:45pm.
The definition of a buffet… “Buffet: a meal consisting of several dishes from which guests serve themselves.”
You can only order bar food/appetizers from your table. If you want soul food at the “soul food buffet”…you get in another line where you wait another hour for their employees to make your plate in an assembly line like a lunch room cafeteria. Food behind the glass. At the end of that line, you pay for your food at a register and take your food to your table to eat. There are no seconds. I gave it a 3 Stars only because the bar food was good. (Catfish nuggets & wings) …The soul food looked good but was underwhelming. Porkchops not seasoned well. Mac looks good but wasn’t the best. Greens were only good with hot sauce. You all really should take the “soul food buffet” out of your name and just serve the bar food. The koolaide was good.
