Nu Wave Fish & Chicken

My review is based on reality and not a paid or sponsored review. My coworker odered for us from here and it was horrible. Her food was a garlic parm with lemon pepper. But they ended up giving us more grease than anything. This review is not based on other people’s opinions so if you are not ready for the truth please keep scrolling. . The food was not only greasy but it looked as if it was reheated from days before it didn’t taste fresh and we the customers have to be honest when eating at restaurants !!! STOP LIEING SAYING THE FOOD IS GOOD IF IT IS NOT STOP LIEING TO MAKE BUSINESSES FEEL BETTER!!! BECAUSE I AM NOT HERE TO PLAY GAMES WITH NOBODY THIS IS THE WORST FRIED CHICKEN PLACE I HAVE EVER EATEN FROM HAD I KNOWN YOU GUYS WERE THAT BAD I WOULD HAVE ODERED CAPTAIN JAYS CHICKEN IT IS FRESHER AND COMES WITHOUT ALL THE EXTRA GREASE…. FOR ALL YOU WHO ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD CHICKEN CAPTAIN JAY STILL STANDS # 1 THIS REVIEW IS LOYAL HONEST AND VERY RESPECTFUL.

They use old grease.Whicj made the chicken taste funny.Fries were soggy too becuz the old grease.

This place is a joke!! They don't listen to your order!! Me and my coworker have order twice this week from them.!! My coworker ask for his food not to be fried hard and I said No lemon pepper! Guess what? Fried hard and lemon pepper!! I called and told them. Never again will I return because the cook is not reading the orders! Just doing what they like.

Went to 9Mile store, had already called in the order and was given a price for the order. When I got there the order was more than quoted over the phone and I was told it was for 'dipping the wingdings into BBQ sauce'. Who charges extra for 'dipping' the wingdings into BBQ sauce? They offer multiple 'flavors', but then charge for it??? Wont ever go back!

Friendly workers & the Whiting fish were fresh and seasoned just right with lemon pepper. 😍

I normally don’t write reviews but I just had THE WORST experience at the Southfield Nu Wave. I’m not sure if they are under new management but I ordered a 10 piece perch for $27.99 and it was fried extremely hard to the point where it was inedible. When I returned to request a new order or the catfish fillet, the cook came from the back and rudely stated that “We can’t do that!” I asked “Why not?” To which he replied, “Its not the same price.” I pointed to the advertised menu above to point out the fact that it was. The rude cook and the cashier began whispering to themselves. “It’s a mistake” the cook said. To which I replied, “Well that is what is advertised.” I then stated that I could get a new order or dispute the transaction with my bank. I had more pressing things to do with my day than argue over $27. The rude cook told me to “Do whatever”. So I began recording to show my bank that I tried to make amends with the merchant prior to disputing. And do you know what rudeness did? He CALLED THE COPS! I recorded what I needed and left. I will be sharing this online with friends, family and coworkers. NU Wave in Southfield will never get another swipe out of me again!

One of my favorite cheat meals. The catfish is fire. Not necessarily the best cakes but it will do.

I recently visited and had a great experience with the staff, who provided excellent customer service. However, I was disappointed with the food quality. Both orders lacked seasoning, and despite requesting my fish not be heavily battered or fried hard, it was served nearly raw. Additionally, the cake I purchased was dry and appeared past its expiration date. Unfortunately, I felt my money was wasted. I hope improvements can be made to match the quality of the service.
