The Original Pancake House

The manager on Wednesday allowed us to make a reservation for a family event. When we arrived with our group on Sunday they denied taking any reservations. We took our group and got out of there.

The take out orders could be a lot better. When I visit the other two locations, care is given about the presentation of food. My pancakes seemed to be hurridly thown in the container. One was actually folded over 3 times with a few pecans. I only eat OPH pancakes. So, take more care please.

Long wait time to be seated and to receive food, other than that the food was WONDERFUL and DELICIOUS 😋! Definitely going back when in town.

This is one of my fave breakfast/brunch spots. The pancakes are soooo good! Everything was delicious and we received great service. There is typically a wait however the line moved fairly quickly.

Fantastic service despite being very busy. Food came out surprisingly quick and hot. Started with the fresh strawberry waffle; was so good we had to try another. Will definitely be coming back to try some other waffles. 10/10 recommend.

Visiting from out of town and so glad we found the Original Pancake House on Google Maps. Will definitely be back. Reasonably priced (with the exception of the fruit in my opinion).

We had pancakes, scrambled eggs (ask for country style if you want them freshly cracked opposed to the ones they crack into a container in the morning for the day), turkey sausage links, bacon and pan sausage. All were great. Hash browns are what we would call breakfast potatoes in the South, so it wasn’t what I was expecting, but it was good. We call hash browns the potatoes that are shredded, these were diced, but were seasoned and good overall. Also ordered a bowl of strawberries for my toddler, which were a little overpriced for the amount to me, but they were sliced appropriately and he loved them.

It was VERY busy, but the timing of everything was good. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. I would suggested going with a group of 4 or less for faster seating. A group of 6 was waiting when we walked in and we were sat before them because there just wasn’t space, which is understandable and they were not disgruntled at all. So just know that ahead of time. We went on a Saturday just before noon, and were gone by 12:50pm. We didn’t feel rushed. Will probably come back again before we leave town lol

The reason I’m giving it a 3 overall is because the service was good. Friendly from the host to the waiter. However, it was pack there so we thought the food will be busting because it’s a long line. My spouse and I was not pleased with the food. I had a omelette that looked funny. But I still try to eat it. But didn’t have no taste or tasted funny. So, after 3 bite I sent that back. It came with pancakes which was okay but not wow. My spouse had egg, buttermilk pancake, and etc.. But still wasn’t good. Just passed the salt and pepper (as we asked) But our kid love the chocolate chip pancakes. Overall little more season to the food. Because it clearly could not been none on that food at all.

This place is an institution. You really can’t go wrong with anything you get here. Is it mind blowing, no, but the pancakes and bacon are legit!
