Nothing against the employees there cause it's not their fault but man this food is trash. I got a chicken burrito bowl and I don't even want to finish it, I'm not someone who wastes food either but it's just gross

I have a mixed review of this place. I've never dined in, however, I've ordered catering for my job a few times.
As far as the food, the chips and salsa are excellent. The meats are okay, I've had the ground beef and chicken. I do appreciate that for the catering they provide utensils, plates, serving spoons and tongs, along with chaffing racks and fuel cans. That's really helpful.
Here's where my two stars come in to play, I could do without the extra amenities , if that meant the price would be a little cheaper. For the prices charged per person, the portion size isn't equivalent. I've ordered the taco bar for different quantities of people, but the amount of meat received was the same. The only noticeable increase was the condiments; pico, salsa, sour cream, guac, and cheese. The description states the taco bar provides two tacos per person, with soft and hard shell tacos. I've only received about 12 hard shells for 25 people, then a pack of 24 + an additional 5 or so of soft shells, that's not two tacos per person. The other thing that was increased was an additional large ass bag of chips. Again, the chips are great! But, for a taco bar, I'm expecting to receive majority taco shells if anything. From the orders I've had, one bag of chips has been more than enough. The other bag has gone untouched. For 16 people, the total was $220 with tip, for 25 people, $380 with tip. So about $12-$15 per person, which isn't bad, however, the amount of food received was not sufficient for the increase of people I ordered for.

All of the options are great, if possible, a more customizable option menu for catering would be helpful. I'd prefer to choose between having a full pan or a half pan of beans or rice, as those don't go as fast. I would instead choose a half pan of beans and rice and rather add an additional half pan of our meat option. Even if that means like $3 more for the substitution, as I do understand with catering or ordering in bulk, things are sometimes premade or prepped in specific portions. Same with the extra bag of chips, I would've selected more hard shells in their place. But yeah if possible, being able to customize which options are included in the catering bars would be great.

Overall, I just believe for almost $400, everyone should've been able to get food.

I know I be kinda harsh but food critics do be lying. I don’t and I’m not a critic. I said it before and will again, THIS PLACE IS TOP NOTCH!!! From fresh ingredients including when it comes to the tortilla chips to packets of the best Mexican hot sauce you could ask for, it’s worth the money. S/o to not only the employees but Hass (hope I’m spelling that right 🤞🏾🤞🏾) for not only caring about his store but the food as well and the employees. Please give this place a try if you’re in the Southfield area rather in a traffic stomp or passing by.

I recently visited Salsarita’s and was quite disappointed. The food was bland and lacked the flavor I was expecting. To make matters worse, while my burrito was being made, the manager was scolding the worker right in front of me, accusing him of “killing the business” by giving me too much. It was uncomfortable and totally uncalled for to witness this as a customer. I felt bad for the employee. To top it off, the food was overpriced for the quality I received. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

As a first-time visitor who did not know this place existed until I saw it... It was priced well, food portions were pretty good and staff was a very sweet and kind and funny and the restaurant is clean. I definitely make my way in to grab me some more tacos

I ordered from here for the first time and it was good as far as seeming to have fresh ingredients But upon opening my food it was cold and I was missing my queso. Outside of that the salsa is taste and has the texture of a sweet glaze and I don’t like that

Chips are the best thing on the menu. The ground beef tacos tasted and smelled spoiled. I should’ve known better because this place is always empty.

They have the best queso. Sometime all we get is the queso from this place.
