This is a black owned restaurant by two brothers and the head chef is African American. The food was delicious! We had lamb chops that were delish! Michigan Cherry salad, delish! Jerk chicken wings, delish. Please go to this restaurant,?

Roasted beet salad us awesome. I used the Raspberry Vinaigarette dressing ! My friend got the smash burger and really enjoyed it.
The only reason I give them a 4 vs a 5 is because there were no mocktails on the menu. Cant wait to come back for brunch !

Horrible!!!!!!Never would I recommend this place,Food is terrible and Service takes to long and they made us pay for entertainment which was a live reggae band that wasn’t entertaining at all,Plus the drinks are very watered down.

My wife and I used Salt and Ko to caterer our food for our wedding on October 5th, 2024 in Detroit. We had 187 guests and the total bill was north of $19,000. The quality of food delivered the day of our wedding was atrocious. Most of our guests, including my wife, had steak that was raw. See the attached photo. Many guests didn't bother to eat or finish their steak. The chicken dishes were rubbery. And the salmon, which I had, was dry and not seasoned. The vegetables each dish had you could tell were frozen and not fresh. The mashed potatoes were clearly from a box. We paid for bread and butter and there was none. Salt and Ko told us they prided themselves on fresh, locally sourced ingredients but this was clearly not the case. For our tasting, the food was delicious. This is what we were expecting moving forward with Salt and Ko but that was clearly not the case when the wedding day arrived. Many guests were served their food cold even though we paid for a hot box. It turned out that a hot box wasn't used, but instead a plate heater was. The portions of food was also disproportionate. The guests that got their plates last had barely any steak while the guests who got served first had plenty of steak. The whole day of experience was horrible and I do not want anyone to go through what we went through. We have reached out to Ryan and the team at Salt and Ko roughly 5-6 times over email since our wedding and we have not once gotten a response to at least acknowledge that steps were taken to help their bottom line on our behalf. They are extremely unprofessional and pulled the rug from underneath us. In good faith, I can not recommend this vendor to anyone who is looking to use them for their wedding. I do not want anyone going through what we went through. With the amount of money we spent, including a non-negotiable 25% service fee on top of the cost of the food, etc., we expected much much more and we got left with barely anything.

$19 for 3 cold hard waffles that was purchased from Sam’s Club and 4 flat wings. Please go to other establishments to see what chicken and waffles suppose to be. Very disappointed. Over all I paid $25 with taxes and gratuity. No worth it. I guess I will chalk it up as a donation. Definitely will not return.

I had such high hopes for this place.. was greeted right away and seated right away which was nice. But after that it went all downhill from there came on a Saturday and it was only two waitress and one was the bartender which is the one who took our order after waiting like 30 min. Food came out after waiting another 30min only to be dry and over salted. But to top it all off when we got the bill it was a $16.99 gratuity charge added. Which blew my mind. Like HUH? For a party of two.. Never coming back. The waitress was nice that’s why I rated it a 2.
