I was so disappointed. The website does not match the food. My grits was loaded down with butter, I asked for my hash brown hard and I was disappointed with my salmon omelette. It wasn't even an 2oz of salmon. The coffee was like water. We asked them to make another pot, same thing but they refused to do it a second time. I want them to make it but they got some work to do. They also add an automatic 20% gratuity to your bill, no signs to inform the customer.

Went in on a Saturday morning around 9am and was expected it have a wait time but was able to be seating right away! Staff was friendly and the space was clean and clutter free. Food was excellent! I was tempted by the red velvet French toast and the s'mores pancake but ended up getting the trio pancake stack which came with a red velvet pancake, chocolate pancake, and an orange cream pancake. So good! I also got sausage patties which were juicy and perfect cooked, not dried out and thin like other places. The only reason that I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they did not have any dairy free milk options for coffee and I found some debris I'm my water (which they quickly replaced, so biggie!)

The food was decent. Reminds me of a Coney Island but with higher prices and more space. Upon entering we weren't greeted, the cashier came to the register and proceeded to print receipts and still hadn't said anything to us until she was done. The ketchup bottle had old ketchup inside of it. The place overall needs to be updated and have better service.

A hole in the wall that deserves more customers because the menu was extended and every item my group got liked their food.

The customer service ain’t the best upfront if you come as a party of 1! Seems like Southfield is getting to where they don’t want to serve a party of 1! I first of all take care of anyone who waits on me and takes care of my dining needs! Some waiters are ok and some not so much! I expect more out of Southfield! I just want to come enjoy a meal once a week! I don’t always get to enjoy food at home and the weekends are the only time I get to as a truck driver!
Just basic and average. There is nothing to write home about.

I usually don’t leave reviews unless the service was egregious…But this place was pretty close to excellence! All of the food tastes great! The service was impeccable! I have no complaints. It’s not the greatest atmosphere, but it doesn’t suck either! I’ll definitely be back ASAP!
This was my first time eating here. Our Server was attentive and knowledgeable about the food choices. I ordered the meat lover loaded hash browns and it was flavorful and a nice size portion . It was quiet and clean.

Worst service, didn’t receive our drinks til 20 minutes after ordering. Automatic 20% gratuity for the WORST service. Family of 5 including 3 kids meals was over $70. Never again.

This place is mediocre at best. Today November 25, 2023 was my first and last time visiting Southfield Pancake House. The first mistake was not having my food ready for pick up when they said it would be. Once being able to get home and open my food, it was not appealing by sight. My husband ordered the corned beef hash with eggs (sunnyside up) and toast and a side of link sausage. His eggs were overcooked burnt around the circumference. Corned beef in the hash was rubbery. I had to make his eggs for him. The toast! Who could mess up toast!? It was undercooked and over buttered. My Dad and I had the catfish with savory grits. The catfish is not fresh it is frozen out of a bag. Greasy and overcooked. The grits all most made me happy until I tasted them. The extra ingredients like the green onions, green peppers, tomatoes, cheese etc... Make them sound and smell appealing until they're in your mouth and taste like a sandy watery mess. Their sausage is not good least by my standards. They're bacon like any other bacon you would find at a Coney Island or an Ihop, and last but not least the red velvet pancakes are very thick and dry. The only thing that I would return to this restaurant for would be the orange juice which was very good and cold.
