Starter's Bar and Grill Southfield

First time at this starters and they were having a political party for someone running for Senator and was wondering if the person who allowed this supports her, from what I read she doesn't even like Michigan and having to listen to her while I'm trying to enjoy my lunch was awkward. Works and rib tips were good steak bites had to send back cause they were to tough crab bites tasted store bought and put in the microwave

Bri and Tency (don't know how to spell it) are your best waitresses. Very friendly, efficient and gave great recommendations. I have been several times now and had them both with the same consistency. I hope they get the recognition they deserve.

As a heads up Starter's has a no return drink policy! If you order a drink that's not on the menu please ask what are the ingredients in the drink. Because Starter's make their drinks different than other restaurants. I had this issue with a simple and basic Sangria. Starter's add Tequila to their Sangria. Only after complaining to the manager was I able to exchange the drink for something else. Not have it removed from the bill, due to their no return drink policy. And even after I ordered another drink they still removed the Sangria from our table. I don't understand what did they do with a full glass that I returned. Moral of this review is please ask the server what's the ingredients in your drink before you place your order.

Pork chops were dry but the Reuben CB was good. TV was very loud. Lamb chops on point. They quickly fixed any issues we had.

Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Service was great. Server was attentive, but mostly gave 5- stars because of her personality and people skills. Minimal wait time to be seated. Ambience was great and felt safe. Plenty of food for the price. Steak was a little thin and overcooked but well seasoned. Star of the plate was the deep fried lobster tail. Zip sauce was good but not great- taste and consistency was a little off. Menu is a mini version of bigger locations I have been to (eg midtown). Drinks were good. Parking lot is small but easy to find parking. Bathrooms were clean. Spent about $140 for three people with drinks (minus tip). Would definitely visit again.
