This employer does not pay its hard working employees their paycheck. Do not eat here. The Greedy boss keeps the employees paychecks for himself. Every employee should be paid every week but that does not happen at Black Pine Tree This is a very bad place Do not apply to work here as you will not be paid Do not go to Black Pine Tree
Ordered food to go got home and was missing rice had to drive back to get it make sure to double check before you leave

Black Pine Tree has a wonderful ambiance! It’s well decorated, the younger people in our party specifically enjoyed the wall with the color-changing lights. There are decent vegetarian options, which are all delicious, and staff is decently knowledgeable about them all.
Vegetarian options: The Yakisoba is a vegetarian dish that consists of noodles and a heap of delicious vegetables.
There are several vegetarian sushi rolls which are also tasty.

Restaurant is a beautiful set up but visibly dirty. Bunch of teenagers hung out at the desk who didn't work there. They were talking with workers behind the counter like its the hang out spot while I sat on the most uncomfortable bench for 35 min on top of the 35 min quoted. Hope the food is good:(
It pains me to write a bad review for a place I've frequented over the last 10 years but after giving them a LOT of second chances, I am finally done.
Carryout is always an extremely long wait, and that's IF they answer the phone and are WILLING to take a carryout order (sometimes they tell you they're too busy or have a limited menu).
The last 2 times we dined in, there were an awful lot of gnats and every surface just looks incredibly filthy (even the trays at the sushi bar that hold items used daily like the seaweed wraps, the serving trays, counters, etc).
Also, the past 2 times we had their food, it gave us some serious gastrointestinal upset (the first time we weren't convinced it was the food, but now that it had happened twice we are pretty sure it's due to their low quality and lack of cleanliness?).
It's a shame, this used to be such a favorite place of mine.

Maybe not the most creative, but the sweet potato, veggie, and tofu rolls were super tasty! Bonus that this place is a few store fronts from Super Baked! Dinner, and then dessert! ?
The veggie sushi was standard but very good! They had gluten free soy sauce which is a plus.

Had the following: sweet potato. Angry california, Philadelphia and shrimp tempura. Presentation wise, a bunch of roles in a container. Taste wise. The seaweed what kind of rubbery. Didn’t really stick at all. I have never had sushi fall apart with the use of chopsticks, but it happens often. The shrimp tempura had the tail still in it. I have had shrimp tempura at many other places, and usually, the entire thing was edible- but this has the tail for some reason. The only time I have add sushi that included cream cheese and tastes good, was a Godzilla role in 2007. It is still the same. The Philadelphia was not… bad but not.. something I need to have again. The sweet potato is usually my go to, but I I had to guess which one it was, and it didn’t taste like others I had before. I am glad a left a tip for the front staff, as they were sweet, but I wouldn’t come back here or recommend anyone for this place. I am going to have to eat it because I spent close to 30$, but I truly regret doing so
Edit it: Update, I couldn’t finish it all. Other parts of pieces in trash, where the remainder of this is going also. Below subpar and so mad I chose this place

The chicken teriyaki I ordered was the best one l have had from here in months. I had almost written off BPT completely, but I'm glad to see the food quality and service experience I had come to expect had returned this time l visited. The server was attentive and kind, and the food came out quicker than it usually has in the past. I haven't had service and food this high quality from BPT in a very long time, and I am happy to see it is back. I will be returning very soon!

We had the best service. She was able to explain the dishes and the Sakai. The Obama roll was delicious. The Bulgogi was OK a little sweet, but not as garlicky as I have had in the past. The Bipimbap was quite bland to me. I will go back for the Obama roll.
