This place is a hidden gem!! I stopped here on a whim and I'm happy I did. The customer service was amazing and the food was solid. This is a "bang for your buck" type of place. I got so much food for a reasonable price. I will definitely be back!

Hands down one of the best burgers I have ever had! I had the Baby Jay's Double Bacon Burger. It was mouthwatering. Perfectly cooked, delightfully seasoned. I highly recommend it. Just beware, it is a BIG burger, so bring your appetite. The seasoned fries were a wonderful compliment to the meal.The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They were exceptionally busy when I was in, and they just handled it. Didn't seem stressed, or flustered. They just kept grinding, but yet took a second to greet and speak with each patron.You WILL have to wait a little bit to get your food, as they prepare everything fresh and made to order, but it was a short wait, and well worth it. I will definitely be back again soon. If you need a good meal, at a terrific price, this is the place to go!Parking: The location is a former gas station, and you can park at the pumps.
I had the best wings ever from here. The garlic Parmesan wings, the lemon pepper wings, and the lime pepper wings are amazing. The seasoned fries were really good and the service was amazing. Great friendly staff and the food was cooked to order. For hot, fresh and delicious food it’s totally worth it. If you haven’t been yet take my advice go now!!!!

So I see you, you are googling to find out a good Burger place downriver Detroit. I can say this. If you don't go here and try the burger, you are missing out in life! I heard about Dexter's grill being one of the best burgers downriver so I wanted to try it out for lunch.I am absolutely blown away. This is top 5 best burgers I have had in my life! This place should definitely be ranked as best burger in Detroit.Why is it so good then? The texture of the quality meat that they used, the perfect melted cheese, the caramelized onions, the fresh crisp salad makes this a burger worth dreaming about. And a beautiful potato bun that encaptures all the flavors from the other ingredients making it soft and a very pleasant wrapper around this glorious masterpiece.I will dream beautiful dreams about this burger. That is a given!Everyone's tastebuds are different. But I wouldn't trust anyone thinking this is not a burger of art! So yeah, if you googled to find out if Dexter's is worth it. This is a no-brainer!

Now let us tell you our experience. We almost didn’t come in because the place looked empty but decided to give place a shot.This place is a family owned restaurant of two years. If you want to eat like Mc D but hear rumors about how their food are like, this place can take McD’s place! 5 guys do their work rather messy when we asked for “everything.Great this place, we felt welcomed and we waited a bit before we got our food. We had two burgers with everything toppings (onion, lettuce and tomato), they were neatly placed and appropriate amount as well.Give this place some love and they will return their love in their food.See you one day!

Came based on seeing so many social media reviews. I’m glad I did. Super friendly staff. I made the mistake and got a double cheeseburger. Hubby and I could have split it. It’s huge. Great price for the combo, couldn’t finish the fries either. Hidden gem. I recommend. We will be back.

I was super excited to try Dexter’s after reading the reviews…and let me tell you these readies are 100% accurate. We were helped quickly and everyone was wearing a smile. The atmosphere was fun and happy. I got Tara’s Turkey Burger. Turkey burgers are easy to get wrong. They got it so right. It was light and juicy. And the flavor was phenomenal. It was served to us at our table in take out boxes, which for an introvert like me is extremely convenient. 10/10 will definitely be going again!

This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. The food was very very good! I do not eat red meat and it was so nice to have an option at a Burger place…the Turkey Burger was excellent! I had them put grilled onions Swiss and mushrooms on it! It was sooo sooo good! I don’t usually order Turkey Burgers out because they usually are just not very tasty. However, Dexter’s did it right! We will go back for sure!
I learned of Dexters on social media and decided that’s we’d give it a shot. I was a bit skeptical but let me say I a not disappointed at all!! Service was friendly, clean environment, very good portion, and so flavorful and that even though I was so full I could not stop eating it??

I chose this restaurant based on the number of stars and its location right off the highway, and my family and I are so happy we ate here. We absolutely love the people and the food.The stand-alone building is in an old, kind-of-rundown gas station (non-operational). The inside totally makes up for the outside though. Note: Love the business sign.First, it’s the warmth of the people inside. Everyone was super-friendly, and we could feel the sincerity. They were helpful in our ordering at the counter and in the service to the table.Second, the food is very delicious. All of their items are named after people. We had Baby Jay’s double bacon burger, Steve’s spicy double burger, fried cod and wings (8 or so different flavors to choose from). Patties are big so be prepared to eat. It had good flavor and was non-greasy. The fried codfish (2 pieces) was tender and the batter light. It was also not greasy. I wish I had two other pieces of fish (so tempted to order more). The fries in our combo were crispy, and yes, non-greasy. Wings were nicely fried. The three flavors we had were garlic Parmesan, spicy jerk and lime pepper. The latter two were our favorites. The total for essentially 4 items, fries and drinks was $47 (tax included).Everything was clean including the bathrooms.All-in-all, a gem because of the heart of the people and the quality of the food.
