Great beer, and I LOVE the bidets in the ladies room! (Not an actual bidet, toilet just flushes repeatedly while urinating, cleaning "the goods")

Food was ok and service wasn't the greatest. I can smell beer on the waiters breath.

The best tap room and pizza place in the area. This was my first time at Old Chicago (Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom) on Trenton Rd. in Southgate. In advance of a large group of friends/family coming in to town next week, I took a tour of the 5 or so corporate style restaurant/bars in that neighborhood ... and from these initial visits, Old Chicago blew them all away.I've only known that restaurant as "Old Chicago" ... I did not realize that they are actually a "taproom" and so have a specialty in beer offerings.Old Chicago has a amazing beer selection and an extraordinary Happy Hour!All-in-all, as good or better than anything else in the whole Southgate/Wyandotte area.Their main (corporate selected) beer menu was excellent, and as well they have a rotating selection of specialty beers chosen by the location's management. As I understand it the beverage/bar manager is largely responsible for that selection ... and she does an outstanding job. I was really impressed.Furthermore, the 3 to 6 pm Happy Hour has HALF-OFF pints, and also great half-off food specials ... and there is a second "Happy Hour" after 9pm as well! When I visited I found that they also have a rotating, regular short-list of a few of their drafts that are an *additional* $1 off ... that means I drank those premium/craft pints for half-off plus $1-off meaning only around $2.20 per pint!!!I also appreciated the fact that they also had a selection of 4 or 5 non-draft beers that were on *clearance* for $2 a bottle ... so for $2 I had a Shiner Brewery "Cheer" Peach & Pecan holiday beer which was excellent as well. Happy holidays indeed! This was my first visit, and I've not yet had the food. The server at the bar was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The interior and atmosphere was cozy and well appointed. Very comfortable.I'm looking forward to trying their pizza and food.None of the other bars, corporate or otherwise, in the area come even remotely close to the value and selection at Old Chicago in Southgate .I will be back.

We came in yesterday and this was my fiancés first time in. We didn't even stay. We were seated pretty quickly considering this place was completely empty. But what bothered me was the fact that it was completely FREEZING inside. I mean none of us or our kids could take our WINTER coats off. And about 5 minutes after we placed our order we told them nevermind just make it a to go order because my kids were literally shaking and so was I. Chose to dine in spend $70 just to pack it up and take it home.I still obviously tipped our waitress but $70 to shake and freeze to ultimately leave this place was not worth it.

Very surprised on the pizza offerings. Pizza was really good they definitely do not skimp on the toppings. Beer selection here is good both in bottles and cans and draft. I would say service was attentive. Got the classic pizza, with the beer ale crust. Very solid offering. The sausage isn't the usual, it was sausage sliced sideways and extremely plentiful, very tasty. Enjoy!!
Sticky table & menue was sticky. GROSS ...Very slow service

Our food was amazing. Allison was a phenomenal server. She helped us choose what to get and was very helpful in making some adjustments to the meals, because of dietary issues. The chicken Parm was enough food for 2 people! And, the personal pizza was a lot of food too. We'll definitely be back in the near future.

This was my first visit to Old Chicago, and it won't be my last! Our food was phenomenal! We tried the chicken wings and calzone, and both were outstanding. Service was great and I love the design of the restaurant! Can't wait to go back!

Way too over priced for pizza that is mediocre at best.
