The hostess at the front is rude, I haven’t even gotten my table yet because there is a wait but this girl talks about ppl as the are coming in. I don’t like that, very unprofessional

Was singlehandedly one of the worst dinning experiences we've ever had to start of as we entered the girlwoouldnt even acknowledge us and raised her voice to a coworker and told him and I quote " do your job I'm on break" and gave us the side eye! And then we were seated and noticed ( now this may have been just me overthinking) each section was a different ethnicity like they were seating us accordingly. And then after all that never even came to take a drink order or even check on us we waited for 20 min. Then left with not even a have a nice evening. Not sure how it is any other night of the week but this shift would definitely stay away from!

Do not recommend! Used to love going to Olive Garden, was always a top choice of mine when dining out but after the last couple times of having them it’s been mediocre. The food quality has gone down. Service is never friendly, almost uncomfortable to walk in as feeling judged by employees (not a good feeling walking into a business we loved). After trying out a few of our local Downriver small family ran Italian restaurants, I suggest going there. Prices are equal, all offer the same products and all have higher quality ingredients, go check one of them out instead of a chain place where even as a weekly guests you still aren’t known or disregarded, we checked out a local Italian place and within a couple weeks of going the employees and business knew us and welcomed us like friends and family, 4 years of constantly visiting Olive Garden and only one server knew us (she was only there a few months), now we just feel like a ticket number.

The food is so mediocre! Ugh. Soup and salad is your best bet. Entrees are so overpriced for what you get.
And 4.99 for a little plate of sauce to dip your bread???! Rip off!
Waitstaff is good though.

It was a lovely Saturday night until everything went bad when this manager showed unprofessional attitude towards us when I ask her if she really wanted to charge us for the appetizer after we complained about the food me and my wife ordered was so salty that we couldn’t eat. She said she could take them all off the bill but with a big frowned face and walked away. Apologized without sincerity. We felt so mistreated in the restaurant we loved to eat almost every weekend. But not anymore. Don’t want to deal with a manager that is so rude and doesn’t deserve to be one. She had the guts to charge us $13.77 instead of showing us how sorry she was about the food. What a shame. $13.77 is nothing if only she showed us a little respect.

The food was great; as was the service with Cynthia P, she pays attention to detail even extremely busy and has a great sense of humour. Since many people and their children have no concept of manners or consideration for others it is frequently exceedingly noisy.

Kid-friendliness: It is so kid friendly that staff are not allowed to ask parents to contain their children when said children are dangerously running around the restaurant unsupervised. Just imagine a tray full of food and dishes landing on a small child because the parents decided to neglect their child? Those same parents would sue the restaurant in a heartbeat when any such incident is their fault.

Unbelievably pathetic management. If you have an issue DO NOT expect someone named Christy to solve it. Condescending, bitchy and completely useless. The best part about subjecting myself to her incompetence? I now know NEVER to go to Olive

Walked into Olive Garden at 5:35pm checked in for 11of us, that included 3 children. The hostess was snippy rolled her eyes took my name said the wait was 45min to maybe an hour, the lobby was full. With in 20 minutes it was just my party there, then more people came in and it filled up. Here we are at 37 minutes I go as the hostess and ask updates on thw wait, she advised the table was ready she was waiting on approval from her manager to seat us. That puzzled me I said okay then 10 minutes later I asked what was going on she got rude and said I had only been waiting 45 minutes and I still had 45, to 50 minutes to go I said what she said yes I told you your wait was an hour an a half , I kept it cool and asked to speak with the manager she replies yea what ever when I have time I'm busy.
Then my mom approached the manager and said sir we have 4 young children and a baby plus all of us adults hungry. We were told it was ready then now an additional 45 minutes and we have already waited about 50. He said no ,no, no your table is ready it will be 15 minim waiting on a waiter to clear there other tables. SMH never have I felt so frustrated, and looked down upon. That hostess did not appreciate us since we walked in as we interrupted her conversation with her co-worker. Needless to say I know they won't loose money over me never going back, truth is there are other franchises Southgate Olive Garden isn't the only one.

Rule of thumb treat people the way you want to be treated, have a blessed day.

I went to Olive garden yesterday to try and have dinner with my girlfriend. The hostess ( not going to mention her name) Caucasian female in her mid 50's made our reservation, she had us wait in the waiting area for over 40 minutes just for her co-worker to ask why we hadn't been seated. I mentioned that her co-worker was already " helping us ". She double checked and said there was no one on the waiting list. She mentioned she could add us but it would be an additional 30 minute wait. This was absolutely unprofessional, I will never be coming to this location to eat again. If you are LATINO, I would look to spend my money elsewhere.

Just not good anymore, tried it for the first time in a few years and I see why I stopped! Chicken Alfredo was bland, no flavor. The best thing was my salad that I made fancier at home. Save your money!!!
