Southgate bakery does not make cakes accurate to what the customer orders and pays for. I have had two cakes made incorrectly and we will not be back.
The first time I ordered I paid for an edible image. When I got the cake my daughter’s name was spelled incorrectly (they did fix it) and there was no edible image. When I confronted them about wanting a refund for the edible image I paid for, they said that it took them twice as long to do it by hand and did not give a refund.
The second time I ordered I told them “all white frosting” and I showed them a hand frosted image. He took his notes, I emailed him pictures and when I picked up the cake it was not what I ordered. He did not take accurate notes and I received a yellow frosted cake (the picture of the image had a yellow background but I specifically told him all white frosting) and an edible image instead of a hand frosted one because “it was easier” for him to do. That is NOT what I paid for.
Overall, if you’re looking for a cake to look like what you ordered and communication about changes being made to your cake, I would highly consider placing your order somewhere else.

Southgate Bakery. I am going to do anything anyway anyhow, that I can to promote your business. You not only have phenomenal phenomenal cakes. We have had so much mass confusion at our household and I was supposed to pick up a cake today for my granddaughters birthday. We just realized you closed at one not at four, you not only answered the phone because you just happened to be getting back in from a cake delivery but you’re going to literally wait until my daughter gets there to pick it up you absolutely without a doubt in my mind are the best bakery around. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ♥️

The strawberry filling was my favorite ? and the owners were easy to get in touch with. I emailed the pictures because I live out of state, color of icing, flowers and cake design. I was very happy with my cake order, it was perfect! Everyone at the party said it was delicious and they loved the decorations and design! ????
