Awesome Italian shop! I wish they had more locations. They have a lot of fresh deserts like cannelloni, tiramisu, cream puffs and more. They also got a rack for day old half price bread. All the food looks delicious. They also got escargot and olive paste groceries. They even got muffuletta

I’ve been a customer for decades and while some favorites remain (cannolis, pepperoni rolls, Springerle, certain biscotti, donuts are outstanding), my past few visits have shown the overall quality isn’t what it used to be.

I didn’t mind waiting 30 minutes on a weekday afternoon—staffing shortages are a reality for many small businesses.

What was discouraging was paying premium prices for an order of cookies and biscotti that weren’t fresh, included items I hadn’t ordered, and tasted more like flour than anything else. Only a handful were enjoyable.

I’ve loved this bakery for a long time, which makes it all the more disappointing. If you’re in the area, definitely swing by for cannoli, but not worth going out of your way to visit.

I have been coming to Bomarito since I was a little girl they used to be on Gratiot. Their cannolis are to die for, I don’t live there anymore for the last 45 years but every time I come back home for a visit, Bomarito is on the menu for us. All of their food is delicious the pizza, subs and especially the cannoli. You cannot get a cannoli like there’s anywhere in the United States and believe me I’ve tried even back in Boston at Mike’s place. Definitely not the same thing as Bommaritos. Love this place. Thank you for keeping the tradition up after all these years!!

I’m addicted to the lemon ice from this place. Also really good slices at a reasonable price. Love the mom and pop atmosphere, and the staff is all incredible.

Best place for subs, pizza, wine, donuts and so much more. Just the best in the neighborhood.

They were closed for a vacation last time I stopped by for one of their famous canolis
I was there in 12-21-24
And tried their sought after fig cookie. I only bought 1 since I wasn't sure I would want more. OMG, I loved every bite and by the time I finished it I vowed I have to go back ASAP for more.
I was also lucky to get a slice of their cassata cake and it looks so appetizing.... and I got 1 canoli that I have not had in years. I got a piece of their pizza but it was not as good as it looked since the toppings were dried out (it was ready made). I talked to a guy in line who was raving about their Italian subs and said they are better than any of the chain restaurant subs and said you cannot find a better fresher sub
This is a small bakery and the place was packed. I waited at least 15 minutes and live 45 minutes away.
I now have a major craving for their fig Cookie that the cassata cake and canoli will not quell. Do not miss your chance to try some fig cookies

This is old world charm. A true mom and pop atmosphere. It is busy when I went in at lunch time. The prices are good compared to the foo foo bakery in the burbs that I went to yesterday. The cookie selection reminds me of what my grandmas would make. I did see a grandma come out of the kitchen. And that is why I was there…Angel Wings. You get yourself a pound at an excellent price. I M taking mom there.
