The Yolk is a quaint little diner with pretty good food. It's a smaller place, but that makes a great spot for a quiet meal and casual conversation. It is mostly breakfast items, which are delicious, and they have some pretty good dessert options. Their service is always good; you don't have to wait too long, just enough time to chat and have some coffee before food. All in all, it's a nice spot for a quality meal at a good price.
We came in with 6 people. They do not take reservations. They mainly have booths and have a couple tables they can push together. I did call to try to make reservations. She did tell me to call when I was on my way and she could try to save a table if it was available.Our waitress was friendly and patient. Excellent breakfast/brunch food. Always hot from the kitchen staff. Prices are very, very reasonable. The service is warm and inviting, efficient and professional. The wait staff of Jenny, Laurie and Heather are on top of everything, so you never have to wait on coffee refills—a pet peeve of mine. Great smiles too!
