You can miss The Halfway Bar & Grill if you're not paying attention, but trust me, you WANT to pay attention. Their burgers are phenomenal. The owners really care about their product and establishment, and it shows. I had the Ollie burger - covered in green olives, but not just any green olive - queen size olive slices, the best mayo, crisp lettuce and delicious cheese. The burger was cooked to medium-rare perfectly. My partner had the Scooter Skillet burger, covered in cheese, mushrooms, peppers and onions. The homemade chips and fries were delicious as well!. They also have a nice selection of beer available. I can't stop thinking about the view outside their windows either - the river and marsh out one, and Lake Michigan out the other. Seriously, can't wait to go back, especially in the summer. They also have entertainment certain nights of the week, so definitely check that out if you have the time!Can't wait to go back!!

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Absolutely excellent food, great service and a down home, friendly atmosphere. We were on vacation in the area and ate there 3 nights. it was that good.

The burgers were great, the lemon shrimp over pasta was excellent and they serve a good side salad. Cozy down home atmosphere, excellent friendly waitresses and good service.

We stopped on Sunday night, and the food was great. The service was good. As there were only two tables occupied. We went back on Friday, and the place was hopping. If the table wasn't occupied, it was full of dirty dishes. We decided to sit at the bar, and we were ignored for 15 mins. There was only one person bartending and trying to serve tables simultaneously. We eventually gave up after two tables were served that arrived after us. We drove 25 mins up the road to Ford River Pub, sat down immediately, and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

As a person who will rate not only the entree but the coleslaw, best coleslaw I've had in a long time. Every plate coming out of the kitchen was a new temptation.Look for the red lighthouse on the river.

So pleased to find this family owned gem. Friendly atmosphere, outstanding perch and fries basket - among the best fish and chips I’ve ever had - crisp and delicious. Even the homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw were excellent, and I don’t even like tartar sauce!

Amazing place with an amazing owner and staff! My husband and I made a trip to go kayaking, unfortunately the rental place was closed. So we stopped for a drink here, owner sparked up conversation and brought up that he has his own canoe and we can go on the river with it if we’d like. He got us all set up and we were able to have a nice ride on the river. We will definitely back for the awesome service and good time.
