Felt like a burger & a game today. Decided to try the Halfway Bar & Grill for the 1st time, based on my neighbor's recommendation. Cozy atmosphere with windows looking out to the Cedar River, good music, prompt & friendly service. Chelsea went above & beyond to try to get an out of area game on for me. We are so glad we stopped in while camping at J.W. Wells State Park. The food was delicious - loved the Bourbon Burger. Great atmosphere & friendly service!

The Halfway | Bar & Grill offers amazing staff, excellent service, and delicious food. No matter the dish, it is delicious, with wings and fries noted as the best ever. Options for vegetarians and flexible vegans include an impossible burger patty substitution, and gluten free and vegan options are available upon request. The atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and too clean to be called a dive bar, with windows looking out to the Cedar River and good music. Friendly service and great music create a solid experience. The vibe is not to be missed. It is the kind of place hoped for along a journey, a favorite spot when visiting the UP. A burger special with homemade fries and a Bloody Mary were delicious.
