First time visiting this restaurant and really enjoyed the food! The waiters were very nice here and they also had suggested which sauces I should eat with my meat. Also provided the best-selling orders and recommendations in which I really appreciate. Would definitely come back here again with more friends! There’s a variety of foods for vegetarian people if they cannot eat pork :)

Great food! However there is a strange very short old Korean lady ( 72 years old maybe or older). And who stares at me the whole time and is off putting. I won't be eating here any longer that's how rude she is. When I say hello she doesn't say anything or have normal body language. This past visit she brought one water and put it between me and the person I was with and there was a water station and they had plenty of cups... she just gave me a strange look. Just weird. And there is a station like bar where they get their drinks and the ladies will eat there and they'll like stare out at the people eating and they're just sometimes it's kind of annoying... I feel like we shouldn't be able to see them eating and talking. Just to add to this I usually always give positive reviews about places but this wasn't the first time she's done this and it's just getting worse and I just wanted to put that out there so maybe she won't do it to anybody else.

I have reviewed this place many times and thought about my review many times, lol, and have come to the conclusion it is a solid 3-3.5/5. Each dish I've gotten has an authentic Korean taste. The price is a little on the high side, but worth the price point. They have many soups/stew options but all are good and soul warming and they are all unique. The stir fry dishes are savory and not overly savory. I have not tried the big soups (that are 40+$ or the bbq but i'm sure they are great) The noodle dishes have a nice sauce and again not too salty and pretty filling. --- Here are the problems. Minus 1 for the service. This they have lots of room for improvement. There is a lady who is older who seems like she doesn't want to serve you. Also After getting your older she is no where to be found. You literally have to find her and ask for something as simple as napkins. There other waiters are not that much better. They seem annoyed at questions and are never to be found again. They never come back to ask if you want more bonchon. And if you want more bonchon after the meal they said it is considered takeout...but that is because I was not able to ask for it during the meal. They try to conserve money on the materials such as bonchon, utensils, and it shows. It gives a bad taste to the overall vibe. Overall we will be back for food but honestly this is a restaurant where I think 15-or-sub-15% tip is justified.

As Californians with access to ktown in L.A., my husband and I were very impressed with Chung Ki Wa. The gamjatang was delicious and served as 3 meals for me. The chicken gizzard had good flavor and we loved the banchan. Very nice and welcoming workers as well. We would love to stop by again when we're in town.

It has been a while, but it was carryout, so I decided to dine in. We had bibimbap to enjoy the crispy rice in the bowl. We enjoyed the bowls and the sides. The service was professional and polite. We looked around at all the bbq things going on, so we are now curious for the next visit.

I always loved their food but then their meals got even better since the new ownership. The Korean barbecue combos are plenty enough for the family of 4 or more depending on your choices, and the quality of the meat is superb. My other favorite is Korean-Chinese combo (Jjajang myon, Jjampong, Tang su yuk). Also the staff are very pleasant. Highly recommended for lunch and dinner.

Don’t waste your money on the kimchi jjigae at this spot. There’s barely any pork. I had 1 small piece of pork in my entire order, and also the kimchi was cooked so long that it’s mushy. Korea Palace has much better kimchi jjiggae.

It was tastier than Korea. In particular, I think I was distracted by the fiery taste of the japchae rice and inhaled it. I went there because I was craving something spicy, but I was very happy eating it with kimchi.I think we ordered almost everything at our table, and even though it was lunch time, the owner and waiters were all very friendly and welcoming.I lived in New Jersey for a long timeIf a famous house in New Jersey comforted me during my school days,Michigan seems to be a blue flag.It was even better than what I had in Korea. I especially lost myself in the smoky flavor of the Japchae rice. I was craving something spicy, and eating it with kimchi was pure bliss. It seemed like we ordered almost everything on the menu, and despite it being lunchtime, the owner and the staff were all incredibly warm and generous.
