“OMG THIS IS HEAVEN!! Hands down one of the best restaurants in Ferndale. I used to work right down the road in royal oak and would eat here frequently for lunch and would always get the Doner Kebab chicken/lamb they are both tasty and the fries are so crispy and good! We also tried the Turkish coffee this time durning our visit and it was so good.If you are ever looking for a quick & delicious lunch; look no further than the Balkan House ❤️“
“This place is not messing around with anything. This is a top flight restaurant. It's a place for a special occasion. Take your own bottle of wine if you want as they only serve pop and coffee. The grounds are something to see, so plan on a half hour for that. While we ate peacocks roamed around outside the windows. It's truly a great experience and a gem of a place for Michigan. Go here and experience it. It's a somewhat hidden place in the city.“
“I was hungry after a doctors appointment and also needed sauerkraut and rye bread for reubens. It's a small Polish bakery and bistro adjacent to Srodeks. They also carry small amounts of groceries that are priced very reasonably, similar to what you would pay at the larger shops in Hamtramck and Polish Market.I love their hot pork sandwich. Pork pounded flat, lightly breaded and topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle and some sort of spicy sauce. I thought it tasted a bit salty during this visit. They also have excellent rye bread that is imported from Canada twice a week, so call ahead to plan your visit.“
