At The Soul of Detroit, I had the most delicious supper. I ate the mac n' cheese, candied yams, and giant shrimp! The shrimp had great flavor and was FRESH! The mac n cheese was delicious, and the yams were just the right amount of sweet.

Very lovely and delicious food; it's been a while since there was a sit-down soul food establishment, and the band is just getting going. I tried something new with the jerk chicken, and it was fantastic!

Reviewing the location in the Lakeside Mall food court.It's good! I ordered the wings, with steamed cabbage and coleslaw as sides. It also comes with cornbread. All of it tastes just as good as it smells!Maurice is nice and definitely a hard worker, seems to be back there on his own.It's unfortunate this place doesn't get more business, but if you ever come to Lakeside, this is a must-stop! I'm looking forward to seeing the walk-in Lakeside location open up...
