Our first time at Martha’s after driving by a hundred times and wondering?? It was charming and very delicious indeed. We will be back!
I have been coming here since Martha opened and it’s like stepping into a quaint European restaurant, the atmosphere is very relaxing. The wait staff is second to none. They now have a new chef and the food is delicious, my steak could be cut with a fork and the taste was fantastic, my friends fish and pork chops were unbelievable. I’m having dinner there again tomorrow evening and that makes it 4 times this month. You can’t go wrong eating at Martha’s.
Fantastic!
Overrated. They went over board with the Covid restrictions.
We had the calamari and halibut. Chef Rob came out to ask us our opinion on each course and informed us about where the food was sourced and how it was prepared. Our server David was very attentive and gave us great recommendations for the area. The food was delicious and the experience was one we will not forget being visitors to town. Highly recommend!
The food and ambiance on the patio was absolutely amazing. The musicians were incredible on Friday night and made our night at Martha’s even more special! Definitely coming back here anytime we visit Sutton Bay.

We first visited four years ago while traveling. It was really one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We sat outside. They had live music, wonderful food and service. A delightful evening. We are going back next week and are truly looking forward to it.

The prices definitely did not meet the quality of what was served, the food was just mediocre blah I don’t even want to waste time to describe the food.
Our server was great!
But!! Martha herself is a not a pleasant person not sure if she’s going through something or she’s like that all the time. She gives off this insipid vibe, similar to the food, so meta, maybe this is what the place is going for. I run into people like her at restaurants all the time, but if their food is amazing they get a pass for being jerks and I eventually become friends with them, but at Martha’s Table i don’t need to go back the only good thing was the server.

Comfort food that has higher-end flare. Nothing hippster-ey just the classics. Food was good. Since the other reviews complain about wait time, I can report I was seated promptly at 6:30 when our reservation started. My husband and I sat outside right in front of the stairs going in to the restaurant. It was a Sunday a week or so ago and they had a band playing. The band and patio were great.
Waitress was a little overwhelmed and seemed to be the only person waiting tables outside -- so she forgot I asked for more wine have after I asked to see the list twice.
The oldest thing happened while we were here---
Some woman who worked at Martha's was sitting in a tall bar chair staring in our direction the entire time -- I think her job was to be directing people inside to talk to the hostess. She seemed to know many people at the tables and was floating around as well. It was just odd and she asked us how our food was by shouting across the aisle over the music. Perhaps it was to give a homey feel?
I can see why this is a local fav.

Three people in our party, not a
busy evening. Great table server, kept apologizing for other inadequacies. Charcuterie tray was the highlight, very good. Then the tragedies began. Three dishes, crab cakes, very dry. Walleye, frozen and like your average fish sticks left in the oven too long, dark and dry, little flavor.
Lamb chops, nearly raw, ordered medium.
Took 90 minutes for these three dishes from order to table.
In the way out, I heard the manager berating our waiter. Then I told him about our sorry meals. When I was done, he asked, what did everyone else have? I told him I just outlined all three meals. Checked completely out. He stated the next time we’re in, to tell them we get free desserts!
There will never be a next time.
Reminded of a restaurant revamp tv show, the before part.
I usually do not like to give bad reviews, however, this was too bad not too.

Disappointing. We arrived on the dime for our reservation. We shuffled out of the restaurant as they were not ready us. About 20 minutes later our table was ready Service was very slow. Waiter acted as if we were a bother. Never requested anything extra. Food finally showed up and it was very mediocre and cold.
I am not a food snob but between the poor service and lack luster food.....we won't be back. I think this place is highly overrated

Called twice to find out if you need a reservation and no one answered. Walked in to find out and the host was extremely rude. Decided to just go across the street.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. We had a reservation and arrived on time. Our table was not ready. We were seated about 15 minutes late, which would be fine if the rest of the night went smoothly. We were not the last table sat, but we were the last table there because the service was so incredibly slow. Our total time there was over 2.5 hours. The server forgot multiple drinks, didn’t bring us bread, and was very cavalier when we asked her what happened to make things take so long. The food took over an hour to come out and when it did, both fish curry dishes were over done and almost inedible, but with how long we waited we couldn’t imagine sending it back. Plus everything was wildly overpriced.
The only saving grace was the wonderful live entertainment playing there. Played lots of mellow gold and was great. Overall not worth the hype.
Dietary restrictions: They have GF bread, but you have to ask for it.

Martha’s never disappoints. Enjoyed an absolutely fabulous meal on Father’s Day - we had the locally sourced asparagus mushroom soup, vegan spring rolls, walleye with mango/avocado, steak perfectly done, limoncello cake…everything was delicious and service was terrific, as always.
