The owner came over this morning and talked to us for a while. Super place to go. Went back and had a burger this evening. WED-FRI 4pm - 8pm - evening burgers. Everything we have had is GREAT!!!!! “This was our surprise hit of our recent trip to the TC area. We stopped in for a quick tasting and some snacks and ended up having our best meal of the trip. Especially loved the pancake and the pasta! Wine was also really good, particularly the Pinot Grigio which is generally one of my least favorite wines. Service was fantastic. We ate indoors which was clean, cute, and comfortable. The outdoor patio is lovely, too. We will be telling everyone we know to check out this gem and are looking forward to visiting again the next time we head up north.”

“Black Star Farms Inn is a scenic, cozy, and luxurious vineyard stay. We stayed at the Inn with our guests for our wedding weekend and the staff at Black Star Farms Inn went above and beyond to make sure everyone's needs were catered to. The rooms were unique, spacious, and comfortable. The chef prepared breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and offered a nice variety each day. We thoroughly enjoyed the Inn's Hospitality Hour with the Innkeeper each evening - don't miss David's night for laughs, friendliness, and good cheer. Mitchell was a great host and was always around for questions, recommendations, or conversation.”

“The most fantastic winery in TC, Tracey and her husband Harry the owners were an absolute delight! We even had some car troubles and they were super kind in trying to help us out and let us stay even after close. Could have not had a better experience here. Come here for the great atmosphere, the most amazing staff ever and the most beautiful view”

“We are locals and frequent Hawkin’s Farm Cellars a lot. The service is friendly and the Thai food is exceptional. My husband especially loves the Pad Thai chicken and I am a huge fan of the Green Curry dish. You could literally close your eyes and just point to anything on the menu and never be disappointed!”

“We had a wonderful tasting at Mawby during our trip to Northern M. (Maria?) was a very knowledgable host and a great steward of the wine region. They are super accommodating to industry folk and offer a special club tier if you join (we did!). If you crave bubbles, their wines are delightful and a great expression of what grows well here.”

“Unbeatable outdoor atmosphere/ beer garden on a nice day. During this visit, the staff seemed friendly and accommodating, but spread very thinly considering the crowd, but their self-service hospitality model seems to help ease this.

“My family and I love to come every year to do wine tasting, and I do love dry wine and my favorite there is Cabernet Franc.
How ever all the wines are so good. I was curious about the pear wine. I don’t drink much alcohol to be sincere, but this is a every year tradition and I appreciate the art of making wine in this wonderful place.”

“We stopped in after getting our Christmas tree from Kolariks Christmas tree farm just before noon on a Saturday. Rookie parent move, we had promised our 2.5yr old a sprinkled donut however when we arrived the case had been wiped out by the busy morning rush. The sweet lady working overheard us talking and offered to make our son a fresh sprinkled donut. Her kindness and delicious donut made his day! Also highly recommend the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and lemon poppyseed muffin! Thank you Chimoski Bakery!”

“9 Bean Rows is an absolute gem! The farm next to the bakery has bountiful produce, the pizza had a great crunchy texture as it's cooked in a wood fired oven. I loved the shop inside which has an array of local produce and other goods.

If you're in the area I absolutely recommend visiting!”

“You know the breakfast spot is good when you take a bite of -toast- and say WOW. The service was stellar. We arrived at 9am on a Sunday and were seated immediately on the patio. The perfect spot for a warm fall morning! I ordered the corned beef hash with toast and eggs over easy and my husband had the skillet. Our thoughtful server offered us a cinnamon roll while we waited and it was the PERFECT appetizer as we waited about 10 minutes for our breakfast. I’m so glad we said yes because we only ordered savory items and the cinnamon roll was a fantastic addition. Everything we ordered was expertly cooked. The hash was crispy, fresh from the griddle and the eggs were precisely over easy, and I thoroughly enjoyed dipping that knock-your-socks-off sourdough toast in the yolks. It is evident, now, why this place is always packed! 11/10 we will be back.”

“Stopped in for a Sunday breakfast while vacationing in northern Michigan at this downtown Sutton's Bay eatery. There was comfortable seating inside and out on the patio. The ambiance was warm, with touches of humor incorporated in the decor (note the framed picture over the fireplace when you visit). We dined in the very relaxing atmosphere filled with quiet recorded jazz and happy patrons' conversations. The service was friendly and excellent. Our breakfasts were delicious! My partner's Eggs Benedict disappeared as did my Cherry Cream French Toast with fresh black and red raspberries crowning it off. We will DEFINITELY stop here again! Highly recommend it! Notes: While we did not order drinks aside from coffee, note the drink menu image. And, as we left, we spotted a notice of future live jazz combo appearances.”
