“GET THERE EARLY or call ahead! This wonderful little shack is known for its pretzel bread sammies. They only make a handful of the pretzel bread each day, so make sure you order yours in advance to try it out! The staff here is always friendly, hard-working, and working quickly and efficiently to give you a great sammie and experience. It's great to see them up their merch game over the last few years. Buy some cheese curds and go next door to Carlson's for some smoked fish or jerky! Of course, for a snack before or after the sammie! ;) <3 A Native.”

“Our stay was great! The communication and check in went smoothly, the room was just as described and we enjoyed our stay. I believe that there was only one other room of guests but there were many patrons in the dining/bar area each evening and it was not noisy at all. The bedding was extremely comfy and the amenities were top notch! I highly recommend The Riverside Inn!”

“You must get the Brussel Sprouts, enough for 3-4 people! Service can be slow at peak times but friendly. My vodka drink was weak. The food was served hot and was delicious. They'll let you substitute turkey insted of corned beef for the Reuben. The menu has something for everyone. The atmosphere of the inside is dated and could use updating. The outside of the Lodge was beautifully decorated with fall items.Wheelchair accessibility: No large steps. Restaurant is one level even to outside.”

“We have been here many times over the years and the taste and quality of the food is consistent. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. They have a full ball. Service is good. Their chowder is very good. Fish and chips are also very good. Not greasy at all. Leland itself is a lovely up north town.”

“One of the best views on the peninsula. We come up yearly to do wine/cider tastings in the area and Suttons Bay Ciders is a must visit! Great staff, great atmosphere, great ciders!”

“Cool, unsuspecting restaurant. Had the tasting menu. The soup was excellent, and the walleye didn't disappoint either. Wasn't very fond of the dessert but to each their own. Bar tender/server was a nice guy who was enthusiastic about the food and drinks. With 3 tasting menus ordered in our party I expected the chef to come out and say hello. As a chef for the last 20 years this is the best fine dining meal I have had in the Grand Traverse area. Highly recommended.”

“Finally made it to the mothership! We love 9 bean rows croissants and scones and it was fun to see where it all comes from. Tried their blueberry muffin for the first time, the crusty sugar top versus the giant juicy blueberries in the rest of the muffin was the perfect delicious contrast. As soon as the sandwich came to the table, I knew this could be the best value(quantity, quality, flavor and price) I have received at a restaurant in a very long time. I was right. Perfect combination, awesome value.My only suggestion would be for signage. We started out heading north past this location, and my brain said "wow, a small market out here away from it all". I did not recognize that it was a restaurant, until later in the day when were were checking google for a place to eat. A sign at the road (or as near as they allow) might help draw more "passer by's" into the location.”

“We happened upon the newly opened space, as it was one of few places open in the off season…we’re so glad we did! The entire menu was refreshing - so many fresh and unique options. We got strawberry and root beer milkshakes, broccoli wings, quinoa Phoenix burger, and the Mr. Darcy salad.We waited about 30 min from the time we ordered to eating, which was perfect as we got to walk around town, and then enjoy our milkshakes (AMAZING) while playing games set out on each table (so thoughtful and a preferable atmosphere to patrons with their head in the phones). Every other itemwe ordered was FANTASTIC with huge portions (I didn’t even get to touch the salad, but am excited to eat it tomorrow!) Broccoli wings are a must-try and the quinoa burger is the best veggie patty (housemade, too!) that my husband has ever tasted.If you’re in the area, go support this business!”

“The sesame crust was fabulous! Overall the pizza was great but the sesame crust took the cake! We just had a 12” cheese, mushroom and onion for the two of us. Perfect size. Next time I will order double mushrooms and onion. There just wasn’t enough toppings.”

“Beautiful location. They have indoor and outdoor seating. For outdoor seating they have an open patio as seen in my photo, and then two sizable tents with cute lights and heaters. Their cherry pie dessert wine is amazing. Staff is super friendly / knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!”

“My wife and I ate here on 04/18/24 and we had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the waitress “Sue” was truly a delight, making our dinner date memorable. As an added bonus, the chef made a point to come to our table to personally great us and ask us how our meal was. After a brief conversation, he provided a complimentary tasting on a new bourbon offered on the menu. This restaurant is highly recommended, and we will make a point to return here in the future.”

“We spent our amazing "mini-moon" at the Inn at Black Star Farms. This was the first time we stayed at the Inn and we do plan to be back. The staff was friendly, David greeted us at check-in and check-out, great service all around from the front desk to the tasting room on property. Although we did not take advantage of all the wonderful amenities since our stay was short, we are looking forward to being back soon. I loved being able to see the horses from our room. We received a complimentary bottle of wine in our room but of course had to purchase a bottle of our favorite Late Harvest Riesling to share on our 1 year anniversary.”
