“Excellent little find! Sat at the bar with my bf and the bartender was so friendly and helpful! We got the perch sandwich and the Canadian burger. I also got the house Bloody Mary with pepper-infused vodka.Everything was delicious! They grind their meat for the burgers in house daily. The tomato juice for my Bloody Mary was also homemade. Would go again!”

“Cool, unsuspecting restaurant. Had the tasting menu. The soup was excellent, and the walleye didn't disappoint either. Wasn't very fond of the dessert but to each their own. Bar tender/server was a nice guy who was enthusiastic about the food and drinks. With 3 tasting menus ordered in our party I expected the chef to come out and say hello. As a chef for the last 20 years this is the best fine dining meal I have had in the Grand Traverse area. Highly recommended.”

Tried their blueberry muffin for the first time, the crusty sugar top versus the giant juicy blueberries in the rest of the muffin was the perfect delicious contrast. “Was a beautiful random find as my husband and I were driving around M22 after the sand dunes. Our food (a panini and a sandwich) were fresh and surprisingly just what we needed. The service was friendly, our lattes were great, and the quantity and prices were fair for a mostly vacation spot. We’d definitely come back here the next time we’re in town.”

“Beautiful location. They have indoor and outdoor seating. For outdoor seating they have an open patio as seen in my photo, and then two sizable tents with cute lights and heaters. Their cherry pie dessert wine is amazing. Staff is super friendly / knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!”

“We spent our amazing "mini-moon" at the Inn at Black Star Farms. This was the first time we stayed at the Inn and we do plan to be back. The staff was friendly, David greeted us at check-in and check-out, great service all around from the front desk to the tasting room on property. Although we did not take advantage of all the wonderful amenities since our stay was short, we are looking forward to being back soon. I loved being able to see the horses from our room. We received a complimentary bottle of wine in our room but of course had to purchase a bottle of our favorite Late Harvest Riesling to share on our 1 year anniversary.”

“You must get the Brussel Sprouts, enough for 3-4 people! Service can be slow at peak times but friendly. My vodka drink was weak. The food was served hot and was delicious. They'll let you substitute turkey insted of corned beef for the Reuben. The menu has something for everyone. The atmosphere of the inside is dated and could use updating. The outside of the Lodge was beautifully decorated with fall items.Wheelchair accessibility: No large steps. Restaurant is one level even to outside.”

“It was a nice experience but as We were tasting our Wines my Girl and I both agreed that these tasted very simular to another Winery we both Enjoy often. So She asked if by chance these wines we were tasting were relabeled Fenn Valley Wines and to our happiness they are bottled there for Hawkins. But the Atmosphere here is worth the stop. Fen does alot of Bottling-relabeling for many places all over Michigan and We can usually mark it when we have it and when we ask we haven’t ever been wrong yet. They are marketing geniuses”

“We got there right as they were closing the kitchen, around 8:30. Chris was great. She let us know and got our orders in, no problem! The burgers were delicious. The Boom Boom Wrap was amazing as well. Can't go wrong with the Reuben either! Great people, atmosphere and food. What else could you ask for? Thank you!”
