Welcome back! One of Leelanau counties favorite. Great drinks, service, and food!
Server took 20 minutes before someone came to the table.
Walleye was full of grease. All the breading came off in one piece when I made the first cut.
Perch was greasy and under cooked. Coleslaw was warm and the French fries were cold and under cooked. The worst fish we have had. We won’t be back.
I always order the white fish plate. It is delicious. One time there was no Whitefish and I had to settle for the Lake Perch. It was outstanding.

Blue Bird of Leland offers warm, welcoming service and a beautiful waterfront view. The bar area is spotless and well organized. Meals include the croissant fish sandwich, which did not disappoint, the best pizza ever had, and the best fried chicken in Northern Michigan. After being closed for years, the restaurant is in a new building on the river. The location couldn’t be better.
