“I've been wanting to go there for years, and it sure didn't disappoint. Such a great spot. I went there during off-hours on a Sunday, and it was still fun.
I want to go back and check out some live music sometime“
“We are locals and frequent Hawkin’s Farm Cellars a lot. The service is friendly and the Thai food is exceptional. My husband especially loves the Pad Thai chicken and I am a huge fan of the Green Curry dish. You could literally close your eyes and just point to anything on the menu and never be disappointed!“

“Good, drinks, and service are excellent. Great local addition!“
“We had the most amazing experience at Black Star Farms for our August wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful, from the vineyard views to the charming barn reception space, and it made the perfect backdrop for our day.
The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Daniel and Megan were wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and helped us customize every detail so our wedding felt uniquely ours. Chef Leah prepared an incredible meal that our guests are still talking about, and Sarah and David made our stay at the Inn so warm and welcoming throughout the weekend.
Staying on property at the Inn made the entire experience even more special. It allowed us to fully enjoy the weekend with our family and friends, and the hospitality was second to none.
Every member of the team was kind, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding special. While the barn got a little warm during the reception, it was a minor detail in what was otherwise a perfect experience.
We couldn't imagine a better place to celebrate with our family and friends and would highly recommend Black Star Farms to any couple looking for a Northern Michigan wedding venue.“

“Totally old school rustic atmosphere. Family owned for decades. Very pleasant staff. Probably my top 3 favorite Burgers of my life! I mean that Burger was amazing! Man, I can't wait to return next year as we only visit the area annually. Fries were great, Clams were the best I'd ever had, even better than fresh ones on the actual east coast.
Strawberry pie is an absolute must! It's usually sold out, and every person that came in (mostly locals) asked for it. I'm a retired barmaid and this place has a hospitality workers dream hours. If I owned a bar, this would be my kinda place.
Also, the CLEANEST bar I've ever seen, besides one I worked at years ago. As a person obsessed with cleanliness, this place was amazing! From the bathroom floors to the condiments tray, this place was spotless. It's gets very busy, so go after 2 and before 4.
LOVE FISCHERS!!“

“The waitress Julie, gave us phenomenal service. She was upbeat and so pleasant! The 3 other women that I was with, agree that we all had an unforgettable dining experience. The food was awesome as well! We were fascinated by the drink pictured and all of us kissed the fish for luck, then ate it, too“
“Green Bird is a little slice of Heaven! They even practice sustainable farming via their “flerd“ (flock of chickens and herd of sheep) who rotate through each row of vines. I sat down and immediately signed up for the wine club because I knew this was something I wanted to support! And yes, the server was new this season but very knowledgeable and warm. No high-brow wine snobbery here! P.S. wine and cheese pairings are fantastic.“
“Beautiful winery, amazing service, and a beautiful view!“
“Had lunch after some wine tasting a bit further north. Bad Dog Deli was recommended by a young lady at 2Lads Vineyard and we were not disappointed! The sandwiches were delicious and the staff friendly and helpful.
Parking: Good sized off street parking lot with plenty of space for the busy lunchtime crowd.“
“I brought my partner here for his birthday and we had a wonderful time. Sherrie was our guide for our private wine tasting (highly recommend!) and she was excellent.
She is very knowledgeable and I hope that, one day, she opens her own bar in the area, as she has been in the industry for a while and know so much about what pairs well with what. She made our experience even more delightful than it already was.
We ended our tasting with live music by Rob Coonrod.
The tasting was an hour in a private area and the music, currently, Thursday through Saturday (if I’m remembering correctly).
The photo is from our experience outside. The inside experience (private wine tasting) was in a barrel room and smelled soooo good 😋
I’d recommend this place to any wine lovers, especially Michigan residents, as many of us do not get to experience our state in this way if we live in larger cities.
Enjoy! 🤍🤍🤍“
“My favorite destination in traverse city is Bonobo Winery. Not only is the great, and the food is too! And, you can’t beat the view!
What makes the visit so wonderful is the staff! Big shoutout to both Linda and Nic, these ladies are remarkable!“

“We came for lunch and ordered the smokehouse burger and French dip. Both were very delicious and exceeded my expectations. Everything was very fresh and tasted made from scratch. Even the rolls were very good. I can't wait to eat here again.“

“This is a good brewery restaurant in a fantastic location. The drive up is beautiful and the sunset over the bay is spectacular. It’s worth coming just for the location.
For food mushroom pizza was delicious—chewy, fluffy crust, bechamel sauce, and mushrooms. The nachos were so so—chips with a big pile meat and cheese just in the middle.
The beer is great. I tried La Roja, which is a barrel aged sour amber ale. It’s different from most other beer and worth trying if you’re open to wild fermented, sour beer.
The service was fine but busy. My waitress served like barely had time to take my order, but she was friendly.“
“My wife and I visited Bowers Harbor Vineyard recently and had a great time. The whole place has an easy, laid-back vibe - not fancy or pretentious; just a spot where you can relax and enjoy yourself. They have several different outdoor spaces. We were lucky to snag a couple Adirondack chairs under shade trees overlooking the fields. The servers were very nice and helpful. The wine and snacks were great. We would definitely come back again.“
