“First and foremost, our waitress was April. Y'all, all I can say is, she is one of the most customer minded waitresses I have ever come across. She knew her menu, what was going on in the restaurant as far as customers go, and was very pleasant and not in a fake way. The food was very very good. I had the Chicken Alfredo. Hands down the best I've had. For dessert, it was the Apple Carmel Cheese Cake. OMG sooo good. If you haven't tried the Flying Noodle, I would highly recommend you do.“

“Red Ginger is the full experience. The staff (Randy is our favorite server), drinks, food and atmosphere are simply put… AMAZING! They keep great records for when we call to make reservations. We always get the table we like. They are on top of allergy sensitive issues and are willing to adjust menu items (when they can) so we have more options. We never feel rushed or like they are trying to push us out for another sitting. This is our favorite restaurant to visit!“

“This is our favorite restaurant in Traverse City. I’ve dined here many times times over the past several years and have been impressed each and every time. “We came here for hibachi and being my first time (my boyfriends first time in TC not first time hibachi) it was a great experience! It was quite loud but the workers knew this so they spoke up and were very interactive with their customers, including singing happy birthday to the lady next to us! The food was so good (my stomach growls just thinking about it). My boyfriend got the shrimp and scallops and I got the noodles and vegetables. Both were delicious and well cooked! I never had sake before but it was also very good and smooth! Overall a great experience and I hope to be back soon!“

She chatted with us about the restaurant and how it’s a product of her and her husband’s love for food. Everything is sourced from specific farmers so they know where all their ingredients are coming from! 💗 Our sever Vynessa 😊 was AMAZING, took great care of us, gave recommendations, chatted with us and poured love into her service! The food…. Holy smokes, it was so effing good! We had risotto, the flavors and textures just complemented each other perfectly, the best risotto I’ve ever had. The quiche was just as good and had great ingredients of rapini, sweet potato, broccoli, carmalized onions and more! We also had roasted potatoes and bacon sausage. “For a town with many beer options… Silver Spruce offers varieties not usually done well in MI as well as mitten classics.

They ALWAYS hit their flavor profile target for what they’re making and the staff is talented, knowledgeable and super-friendly. Highly recommend!“

“Earthen Ales is a pleasant place to enjoy a beer. I stopped by to try a flight of beers and really enjoyed their darker ales. It feels pretty casual and welcoming, and I like how it’s kind of hidden away back there. I’ll have to look out for their beers in my neck of the woods.“

“Steve did our wine tasting and was amazing!! He was so knowledgeable and all the wines he recommended based upon what I explained I liked were spot on. We are from Illinois and love coming up for the wine and left with multiple bottles. Get Steve if you need a tasting he won’t steer you wrong.“

My husband had the chicken tenders and waffle fries which he thought were delicious. The wait staff were so friendly too. We will definitely be back!“

“The pizza was great and we really Enjoyed it! However, in my opinion, the “large” pizza was closer to a medium in size. We ordered two large pizzas, and had I known the actual size, I would have ordered three. The quality and taste were excellent but we just felt the portion size was smaller than expected for a large pizza. Again? other than that it was great.“

The beers are excellent, we especially loved Free Play and Social Probation. We enjoyed a couple of pints while munching on some tasty appetizers that hit the spot.
The best part for our family? The arcade games! There are tons of them, and they kept our kids happily entertained the entire time.

“Had lunch after some wine tasting a bit further north. Bad Dog Deli was recommended by a young lady at 2Lads Vineyard and we were not disappointed! The sandwiches were delicious and the staff friendly and helpful.

Parking: Good sized off street parking lot with plenty of space for the busy lunchtime crowd.“

From the front, this place seems a little nondescript, but upon entering and visiting the outdoor seating area, the ambiance and view are quite spectacular. These place did an outstanding job with creating a unique and inviting ambiance for all types of wine lovers.

I would be amiss if I didn’t shout out the wonderful staff who conversed with us and made our time there one that we have been raving about since departure: Erika, Taylor, Logan, and Katie. These 4 certainly gave our experience a boost with their friendliness and fun conversations we had while choosing our wine.

Highly recommend visiting and if any of these 4 are working, know that you’re in good company!

My only critique is I want that bonobo monkey on more items as the main logo! Especially the take home wine glass; it’s such a cool logo.“

“I was disappointed today when dining at Reflect Bistro for our 49th anniversary. We made a reservation and mentioned our anniversary. The person taking the reservation said he would note about the anniversary. We ordered an appetizer, I had a salad & the Pepperdelle, husband had seafood pot pie. The calamari appetizer was totally different than when we ordered it in the past. It had a spicy sauce drizzled all over it and a pile of arugula on top. The salad was good, but probably 1/2 the size it used to be & not enough dressing. Couldn’t get the server’s attention to ask for more dressing. The pot pie was1/2 the size it used to be, had just a small triangular piece of crust on top of a soup of gravy, peas & corn with 2 scallops, 2 shrimp & a small piece of lobster. The price was $5 more than last time. So you get the picture, 1/2 size of previous portion, fillers of greens to make it look larger & Increased prices. My Pepperdelle had fresh spinach leaves piled on one side of the bowl, the bowl was about 1/2 the size it used to be & the seafood in it was much less than before & the price was raised. Unfortunately we will be writing this restaurant off of our list of favorites from now on.“

“Have been buying Asiago Roasted Garlic bread for years. Great Bread toasted loaded with real garlic cloves. However the last loaf lacked any Garlic at all. “One of our favorite pizza places in TC. Our family enjoys eating in as it is rarely ever busy and there are ample booths available. The only complaint is that it can get a bit chilly in the winter time with the door so close to the dining area. Otherwise food is great--highly recommend the Greek pizza and the wraps!“

“I haven’t been to many crepe places but this is one of the best. I will say it is a bit pricey, and I’m not really sure if it is worth the price, but it is probably the best crepes you can get in Traverse City

UPDATE: I went back to Millie and Pepper for the first time this summer and I just have to say that the recent bad reviews are complete incorrectly. They complain about lazy staff which is untrue, I got 3 mouthwatering crepes in under 15 minutes and the staff were very kind. The sweet and savory crepe is the best thing I have ever tasted. I’m not kidding.“
