“Nothing to complain about. The wine is fantastic , coming from a beer connoisseur that should mean something. There was also an open bar for the mixed drinker. The snacks we had were as well delicious. We were there for an event, great location, also included taxi cart service from lot to event.“

The wine was honestly some of the best wine we tasted on the Leelanau and or Old Mission Peninsula across the board from whites to red. A truly incredible experience and a must stop. “The view was pretty. My family and I got charcuterie board snd the flight. We also got the desert wine. Everything was yummy. I brought the bottle of desert wine and a wine glass to take hone. Looking forward to going there next year.“

“We absolutely loved our tour with Jess yesterday! She is extremely knowledgeable about the history and process at 2 Lads. Her enthusiasm and zest for life show through. We loved learning about wine and it was so fun to hear her process for selecting the yummy cheeses and snacks that highlight the wines. “We decided to stop by and check out Seven Hills! The service was top notch. They made sure we were taken care of the entire visit. The mule with vodka was pretty good! Very clean and cozy!

Was nice being able to grab a hot tea at the attached business inside the building. Perfect set up. Will return in the summer to check out the concert area looks awesome!“

“I brought my partner here for his birthday and we had a wonderful time. Sherrie was our guide for our private wine tasting (highly recommend!) and she was excellent.

She is very knowledgeable and I hope that, one day, she opens her own bar in the area, as she has been in the industry for a while and know so much about what pairs well with what. She made our experience even more delightful than it already was.

We ended our tasting with live music by Rob Coonrod.

The tasting was an hour in a private area and the music, currently, Thursday through Saturday (if I’m remembering correctly).

I’d recommend this place to any wine lovers, especially Michigan residents, as many of us do not get to experience our state in this way if we live in larger cities.

“Great Wine, great atmosphere even though it was a busy Saturday. Bought 2 flights and a bottle for my buddies bday. Amazing staff with good recommendations and knowledgeable on the crushed grapes. Will definitely come back around for a flight or bottle, perhaps both. Well done!“

“Black Star has a nice tasting setup and good service. We tried a wine flight and old fashioned flight on their patio area at our most recent visit. Their pricing per bottle is mid-level. We are looking for a variety of flavors in red wines and theirs tend to blend together for us and don’t provide as varied an experience as some other Old Mission wineries. It’s cool that they have a distillery. We will stop by again when we are in the area.“

“My wife and I visited Bowers Harbor Vineyard recently and had a great time. The whole place has an easy, laid-back vibe - not fancy or pretentious; just a spot where you can relax and enjoy yourself. They have several different outdoor spaces. We were lucky to snag a couple Adirondack chairs under shade trees overlooking the fields. The servers were very nice and helpful. The wine and snacks were great. We would definitely come back again.“
