“We are “local” and have been going to The Boathouse for several years. One of our favorite wineries in the area. We enjoy sharing a bottle on the porch or the beautiful lawn for the price of a glass at some other wineries. The wine is good and a good value. The service has always been excellent.“

“What an absolutely incredible place. We arrived after being rudely turned away from a cidery down the road. Not sure what to expect, but with a packed parking lot we knew this place was special. The line was long but the staff was unbelievably efficient, we had drinks in less than a couple minutes. I had a N/A craft cocktail "Fools Gold", it was amazing. 15 of us were treated like family, we headed out to the deck and were blown away by the stunning view of the bay. High on the hill this place was breathtaking, even on a cloudy grey sky fall afternoon. This "Fools Gold" drink was so amazing I had to ask what was in it and how it was made, they again didn't hesitate to answer all my questions and even share a few secrets. I mentioned the poor service we had at Two K Cidery and instead of taking an opportunity to bash the competition they didn't, what they did do was apologize on Two K's behalf. WOW WHAT PROFESSIONALISM!!! We bought items from the gift shop and thanked them immensely for their generous service and hospitality. We HIGHLY recommend putting Suttons Bay Ciders on your MUST STOP list, you will not regret it.“

“Every year we visit Leland we try all the local wineries and every single time we are blown away by Verterra's wines and staff and wonder why we wasted time trying wine anywhere else. Their Late Harvest Vignoles and Reserve Red Cab are my fiance's and I's favorites. The prices are very fair, and the staff have always been friendly and personable throughout the years. The tasting room can get crowded but when it does we just take a quick trip to the cheese shanty for a sandwich, by the time we are done the tasting room has usually cleared out, but it's def worth a stop. I have not had wine here that I did not like so I recommend stopping by the tasting room on your next visit to Leland or buying a few bottles online (their wine mail packaging is great to hold on to for traveling between households as well. we've kept packaging from past orders for parties and events because it keeps the bottles secure and safe.)“

“If your visiting traverse City area for the winerys then I 110% recommend you put this place on your list. We went to about 10 different winerys but willow winery was the best. I absolutely LOVED every sample. The owner is super sweet and passionate about her business, wine and making sure everyone has a good experience when they visit. Really cute atmosphere as well!“

“This place is 10/10 worth visiting! We did a farm tour and tasting with Tim, and it was great from start to finish. We are pretty picky about wine, but enjoyed everything we tried. Not usually a big fan of cider, but theirs is fantastic and something I would definitely purchase. We will definitely be back again.“

“Very cute small, sweet winery on Leelanu. Feels a bit quainter. We went as part of a medium sized group. They did seem to struggle with two groups coming in at the same time, and managing/serving the groups. We also had a bit of a struggle paying. I did like that the gentleman explained the wines and I feel like that is not happening enough anymore as winery scene has become popular. There is an interior area is nice, but they also have a covered patio area with heaters that look over the barn and the sprawling grounds. Their tasting is nice, a good variety. Each person found some they liked and some they did not. Worth checking out.“

“On the advice of tourists we met during our stay in Michigan, we went to taste the Big Little wines & were particularly surprised by the Pinot Gris which was excellent. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and we had a great time in the middle of the Michigan vineyard!“

“Beautiful location. They have indoor and outdoor seating. For outdoor seating they have an open patio as seen in my photo, and then two sizable tents with cute lights and heaters. Their cherry pie dessert wine is amazing. Staff is super friendly / knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!“

“We spent our amazing "mini-moon" at the Inn at Black Star Farms. This was the first time we stayed at the Inn and we do plan to be back. The staff was friendly, David greeted us at check-in and check-out, great service all around from the front desk to the tasting room on property. Although we did not take advantage of all the wonderful amenities since our stay was short, we are looking forward to being back soon. I loved being able to see the horses from our room. We received a complimentary bottle of wine in our room but of course had to purchase a bottle of our favorite Late Harvest Riesling to share on our 1 year anniversary.“
