“OMG… SOOOOO GOOD! We called ahead to see how busy it was and Stephanie was delightful on the phone. When we came in Stephanie’s warmth, charm and friendliness met us at the door! She chatted with us about the restaurant and how it’s a product of her and her husband’s love for food. Everything is sourced from specific farmers so they know where all their ingredients are coming from! 💗 Our sever Vynessa 😊 was AMAZING, took great care of us, gave recommendations, chatted with us and poured love into her service! The food…. Holy smokes, it was so effing good! We had risotto, the flavors and textures just complemented each other perfectly, the best risotto I’ve ever had. The quiche was just as good and had great ingredients of rapini, sweet potato, broccoli, carmalized onions and more! We also had roasted potatoes and bacon sausage. We grabbed a scone and cinnamon roll to go, haven’t tried them at the time of posting this review. Please go here, support small, support local and have some of the best food of your life! P.S. it was so good, we went back the next day and it was just as wonderful! 💗“

“I treated my friends to dinner tonight and the service was just as fabulous as the food. Our server was Kateri (Kat) she took great care of us and also recommended some of the food items on the menu. Everything was delish. We are definitely going back. Thanks Kat for your great hospitality 😁“

“We really enjoyed dining and having wine several times the last few weeks at Brengman’s family winery, which we recently discovered. Our favorite is the arugula salad as a standout but we also enjoyed other menu items; shrimp scampi, brined chicken and a tomato and mozzarella salad. The wine is also tasty and the concrete white Chardonnay is a bargain. The bistro atmosphere is charming. The experience was higher quality food and more reasonably priced than many other area restaurants.“

“My husband and I both enjoy Indian food. This is hands down the BEST Indian food we’ve ever had! I had Daal Tadka and my husband had Daal Madkani. We also shared garlic naan. The ambience is modern with of course an Indian vibe. The aromas walking in were very enticing yet not over powering. They have a large variety of food. Plenty of vegetarian options which I was pleased with. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was timely yet not constantly interrupting. The chef brings the food to your table which was a lovely touch. I’m addition to the food being delicious, it’s very generous portions. We both had plenty left over to take home. Highly recommend this gem when you’re in Traverse City. We will likely visit it again before we head home next week!“

“We loved taproot!! Food was amazing.! Great for gluten free and vegan. Even had a small dog menu! Our pup had a burger for dinner and our waitress was fantastic and welcoming to us and our dog! Thanks for a great experience! We will be back“

“We came here for hibachi and being my first time (my boyfriends first time in TC not first time hibachi) it was a great experience! It was quite loud but the workers knew this so they spoke up and were very interactive with their customers, including singing happy birthday to the lady next to us! The food was so good (my stomach growls just thinking about it). My boyfriend got the shrimp and scallops and I got the noodles and vegetables. Both were delicious and well cooked! I never had sake before but it was also very good and smooth! Overall a great experience and I hope to be back soon!“

“Steve did our wine tasting and was amazing!! He was so knowledgeable and all the wines he recommended based upon what I explained I liked were spot on. We are from Illinois and love coming up for the wine and left with multiple bottles. Get Steve if you need a tasting he won’t steer you wrong.“

“Delicious food, meticulously crafted coffee, friendly and accommodating staff. I’m one of those “needy coffee people” and I know I can count on a great cappuccino every time. The space is clean and bright and welcoming. I’ve spent more than one afternoon working with my laptop there and it is a comfortable, welcoming environment.“

“The view was pretty. My family and I got charcuterie board snd the flight. We also got the desert wine. Everything was yummy. I brought the bottle of desert wine and a wine glass to take hone. Looking forward to going there next year.“

“Earthen Ales is a pleasant place to enjoy a beer. I stopped by to try a flight of beers and really enjoyed their darker ales. It feels pretty casual and welcoming, and I like how it’s kind of hidden away back there. I’ll have to look out for their beers in my neck of the woods.“

“If you have a pup, this is the place to be. We took our 11-month-old puppy out for her first time. All the other dogs were very friendly and greeted her at the door. Then they went outside for a good romp in the big yard. The humans were also quite friendly and welcoming. It has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. There were a good number of beers on tap and tasty creative holiday drinks. We will definitely return.“

“Fun, friendly and energetic staff. they make you excited to get your coffee/Energizer. My daughter was struggling to decide what she wanted and the person taking our order asked her probing questions (like what's your favorite candy, lemonade flavor, lollipop flavor) to help her decide what to get! Definitely recommend!“

“What a fun find! Right Brain Brewery tap room has a super cool, laid-back vibe with plenty of character.
The beers are excellent, we especially loved Free Play and Social Probation. We enjoyed a couple of pints while munching on some tasty appetizers that hit the spot.
The best part for our family? The arcade games! There are tons of them, and they kept our kids happily entertained the entire time.

“For a town with many beer options… Silver Spruce offers varieties not usually done well in MI as well as mitten classics.

They ALWAYS hit their flavor profile target for what they’re making and the staff is talented, knowledgeable and super-friendly. Highly recommend!“

We ordered two large pizzas, and had I known the actual size, I would have ordered three. The quality and taste were excellent but we just felt the portion size was smaller than expected for a large pizza. Again? other than that it was great.“

“THE place to go for ice cream!! The raspberry sorbet is unique and to die for!! Little pieces of real raspberry all throughout. Very special. The team scooping greet you with smiles - it seems the love what they do!! We are regulars and don’t mind the 30 min drive to fill our cravings!! Atmosphere is unique with all the wood carvings and a covered porch. Love the pink sparkling lights in the trees! 💜“

“Beautiful spot overlooking the peninsula. You can keep your glass which is nice. The glass railings were a nice touch. I wasn’t allowed to do a tasting or a flight, simply had to order a glass of one wine. I’m reading reviews that others had tastings. I guess I came at a wrong day/time? Disappointing. They also only allowed me to sample two wines before ordering. Thankfully I liked the second sample, the Riesling, but if I hadn’t liked either it would have been a bummer to have to blindly order something and hope to like it. Overall a beautiful, quiet, classy spot with great music and views. But I was really hoping to do a tasting my first time there.“

“We visited on 7/8 for a lunch. Food was delicious as always. My nephew accidentally dropped his very FULL shake and it hit the wall and spilled on the floor. The staff was incredibly kind and gracious, replacing his drink very quickly and cleaned up the mess in no time. He was VERY sad and embarrassed but Eden was so sweet and showed him such grace. Thank you for helping him feel ok with having an accident and not making him feel worse! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Everything about my experience with them for my wedding was perfect! Booking was easy and Sharon really worked with us since we lived out of state. Being from Texas, my guests and I had very high expectations for our bbq and they absolutely delivered. I’m still hearing about how it was the best brisket they’ve ever had. And the service from Caitlyn and the others on the day of was phenomenal. I highly recommend!!!“

“One of my favorite restaurants - it has excellent options for meat lovers (the braised short ribs are delightful) and vegetarians (the quinoa masa cakes are so good)! Don't forget dessert here either.“

“I haven’t been to many crepe places but this is one of the best. I will say it is a bit pricey, and I’m not really sure if it is worth the price, but it is probably the best crepes you can get in Traverse City

UPDATE: I went back to Millie and Pepper for the first time this summer and I just have to say that the recent bad reviews are complete incorrectly. They complain about lazy staff which is untrue, I got 3 mouthwatering crepes in under 15 minutes and the staff were very kind. The sweet and savory crepe is the best thing I have ever tasted. I’m not kidding.“
