“What an absolutely incredible place. We arrived after being rudely turned away from a cidery down the road. Not sure what to expect, but with a packed parking lot we knew this place was special. The line was long but the staff was unbelievably efficient, we had drinks in less than a couple minutes. I had a N/A craft cocktail "Fools Gold", it was amazing. 15 of us were treated like family, we headed out to the deck and were blown away by the stunning view of the bay. High on the hill this place was breathtaking, even on a cloudy grey sky fall afternoon. This "Fools Gold" drink was so amazing I had to ask what was in it and how it was made, they again didn't hesitate to answer all my questions and even share a few secrets. I mentioned the poor service we had at Two K Cidery and instead of taking an opportunity to bash the competition they didn't, what they did do was apologize on Two K's behalf. WOW WHAT PROFESSIONALISM!!! We bought items from the gift shop and thanked them immensely for their generous service and hospitality. We HIGHLY recommend putting Suttons Bay Ciders on your MUST STOP list, you will not regret it.“

“Lovely small dining restaurant with high end quality meals. First meal here years ago were delicious fish tacos. The fish perfectly cooked. Jalapeno sauce great accent. This week i went for Traverse City restaurant week. Once again, a magnificent meal. I started with siraccha stuffed mushroom caps. I love mushrooms, so easy to please, although i really didn't catch the siraccha. I then had a steak in lobster sauce with shrimp. A side of scalloped potatoes. Absolutely delicious with the steak cooked exactly how i requested. For dessert i had the turtle sundae which was a wonderful finale. There was no disappointment. Highly recommend. Again and again and again...“

“This is a gem and you mus try!! We had stopped in previously for a drink and popcorn perch— they are addictive. Our wait person Hannah was kind and fun and asked us to come back for Sunday family dinner. We just did and it was $15 for adults and something like $8 for kids —ARE YOU KIDDING!! They want it to be affordable and WOW - a guy playing guitar, fresh lightly battered cod with homemade tarter sauce, brisket -tender with nice BBQ sauce, penne pasta with a meaty sauce, fresh veggies, homemade real mashed potatoes, chicken bites for the kids, corn and tater tots and ALL you can EAT. Everything was beyond good and the staff-Madison and the mgr Becky were awesome. This is a must try and wonderful place we will be at frequently - would love to give it a 10“

“A true Graft to Glass Estate experience with an amazing view of the Bay! They have a great selection of Ciders including Old World, Cherry, and Cider Sangria. Don’t forget to try their line of single variety heritage ciders as well, especially the Kingston Black and Spitzenburg. The owners are very knowledgeable and take great pride in their operation! Brengman Brothers Wine Bar • $$

“We had a great stay at Brengman Brothers Winery which is located just West of Grand Traverse Bay, North of Traverse City. We were fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to be hosted by Brengman Brothers through Harvest Host. The winery and tasting room is situated on a hill overlooking the orchards. The facility was beautiful and offered indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We shared a charcuterie board and tasted their wine which was excellent. My wife enjoyed the Chardonnay. We spent the night in the orchards in our RV. The climb to the top of the hill overlooking he orchards was fairly simple and we had a picnic table and fire ring. The sunrise over the orchard was magnificent. Thanks again to Brengman Brothers for the great hospitality.“

“This was our first stop of the day and we will definitely be back! David was so sweet, helpful, and talkative (not to mention very generous with samples)! The former schoolhouse was a hit with our group of three teachers! Is so adorable. I have seen the wine in some major retailers in metro Detroit so, to be honest, I didn't have the highest hopes for the quality. I was happily proven wrong! It was our favorite stop of the day- due to both the amazing customer service and the absolutely delicious ciders. We had so much fun we lost track of time and were late for our reservation up the road. The option to make your own 6 pack is like putting a kid in a candy store. We left with three 6 packs, 3 separate cans, two bottles of wine, and 2 prowlers of root beer. Most of this, however, would not have been purchased if David wasn't there. I dare say we have a new favorite place for ciders.“

French Valley Vineyard Winery • $$
3655 S French Rd, Cedar - 6.02 miles

“Very cute small, sweet winery on Leelanu. Feels a bit quainter. We went as part of a medium sized group. They did seem to struggle with two groups coming in at the same time, and managing/serving the groups. We also had a bit of a struggle paying. I did like that the gentleman explained the wines and I feel like that is not happening enough anymore as winery scene has become popular. There is an interior area is nice, but they also have a covered patio area with heaters that look over the barn and the sprawling grounds. Their tasting is nice, a good variety. Each person found some they liked and some they did not. Worth checking out.“

Bonobo Winery Wineries • $$

“My wife and I were heading back from our day trip through the Old Mission Peninsula wine trail when we had to make a special stop at Bonobo. We found out from the girl at the bar that we had just missed Carter by a couple hours but nonetheless we enjoyed our glasses of Merlot and Riesling with our complimentary glasses. The atmosphere inside was very warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back in the summer/fall when the outside patio will be open back up!“
