I was visiting Traverse City to teach a gun disarm seminar at ATA Martial Arts Traverse City. The owner, Grace Blackmer, took me to this restaurant for dinner. It was excellent! I had a cheeseburger and the meat was cooked exactly the way I liked and the bun looked and tasted homemade! I also had some vegetables and they were delicious! The service was wonderful!
Great food, friendly service and beautiful ambiance...the vegan options here are on point and our server Emily was very knowledgeable which gave me confidence when ordering. BONUS...Great music thanks to Gina! We'll definitely be back.

Taproot is awesome. Very vegan and allergen friendly. They don’t use any soybean oil (they use olive oil!), which is so rare and awesome for soy allergies. Farm-to-table food, healthy and delicious. Family friendly too. They really go the extra mile to make things from scratch, especially their desserts!
