“Lamical review We first came here 20 years ago and we’re charmed by the ambiance, the fireplace and the delicious food. Our most recent visit in February 2022, after several years absence, was a sad disappointment. 1. We had to ask the waitress if the cheap hunk of dry buttered bread with a soft crust represented the baguette. Unfortunately it did. It was not sourdough as advertised. The waitress said it was a “wheat sourdough”? Ok, sure. 2. The French Onion soup was saltier than the Atlantic Ocean, was mostly bread filled with few onions, and was topped with mozzarella not gruyere. 3. The entrees were mediocre at beat. I’ve never ordered anything other than the roast chicken and was looking forward to it. The chicken was piled on top of the potatoes and broccoli in nouveau cuisine fashion and was drenched in a weird creamy sauce. The beef bourguignon was served with strange gigantic noodles. Not good. The price fixe items were mediocre. 4. Service was decent. The bus boys did a great job of filling our water glasses, which was appreciated given the salt level. We sadly and regretfully won’t be coming back.“

“They slipped a year ago, and we stayed away. Now the food is excellent! Green curry, Indian curry, and lobster rice were exquisite!Dragon wings, lettuce wraps as good as usual. Shishito peppers...the best I've ever had, and I've had them at 5 different restaurants around the country.Reservations recommended unless you show up when doors open (4:30 pm Tuesday-Thursday, 4pm Friday, Saturday).“

“Riles I believe was our server, she was amazing. It was an extremely busy night due to it being New Years Eve.. she was attentive and extremely nice. We got to sit by the window which was a bonus. Our meals were splendid, the Wagyu was cooked perfectly. This was something very special for us so I’m not sure when we will be back but I recommend this place and Riles a thousand times over. What a great experience.“

“Wallah one of the best Palestinian dishes served in the state of Michigan. From living in almost every corner and center within the state (including Dearborn), I have not had tasted middle eastern food so authentic yet true to the new generation of Palestinians. The servers and chefs were great, nice people who were down to sit and talk. I also ordered a caramel latte, and I truly mean it when I say, this coffee was so tasty so delicious, I can’t ever step foot in another coffee shop again. None will compare. Please trust me when I say, you NEED to go here.“

“First time at Taproot this evening. Great service and great food. Two of us had the tacos and we both took one of the two home. Great taste. The other two each had the Shepard’s pie. Also very good. Beverages were different from the usual and would be ordered again. Enjoyable evening. Don Ehrenberger“

“We LOVE Millie and Pepper. It’s so cute and cozy and the crepes are mouthwatering. They have a great mix of both sweet and savory crepes available so there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend the ham and cheese with a fried egg? If it’s too busy to sit inside the crepes come in a perfect to go container to eat and walk around downtown. If it’s busy you will have to wait a bit for your crepe, it’s a small place and they can only make so many at a time but they are consistently delicious and worth the wait!“

“I grew up in this town but left in 1985. I’ve lived in California since and have eaten at a lot of great restaurants including the Laundry, Chez Panisse, Slanted Door and Mr Chows to name a few. This without a doubt rank's right there. I honestly never thought I’d have a decent thing to eat in this town other than bar food but now I know exactly where it is. If you’re hungry for something exceptional look no further. I have never liked mushrooms, but the mushroom toast was my favorite dish. I can’t believe I’m saying it. Thank you Jen and to the staff for a great evening Looking forward to going back.“

“so so so so SO amazing- the menu said their fries were “famous” and i was skeptical at first, but now i understand. they were absolutely AMAZING. also, i hadn’t eaten a burger in a very long time, but i ordered the chipotle mushroom burger and it made me wonder why i haven’t been eating burgers this whole time. it was so so exquisite. everything in the burger, even the bun, was cooked to absolute perfection. everyone in the diner is so kind as well. our waitress was so nice and randy’s had such a warm atmosphere. definitely a hidden gem that i will be returning to again!!“

“Great location in downtown TC. Beer selection is decent and they have items to go. There is a neat outdoor seating area as well. We had the guacamole and the cuban. I would recommend putting the tomatoes on the side of the guac, and adding some spices with salt as it was pretty bland. The cuban had great components but could have been executed a bit better. Cute place overall just need to work on the food a bit.“

“You have to have lunch here! It's delicious!Wish I had come here sooner! They've been open since 2019 and today (2023) is the first time I've been in. I have really been missing out and so is anyone that has driven past and not pulled in. They should have lines out the door the food is delicious, healthy, filling and fairly priced. You must stop the next time you're looking for something good for your body and soul.I ordered the sweet potato chia bowl. It had marinated kale, brown rice, plenty of roasted turkey, and delightful sweet potatoes. It was really really good and totally worth the $13 or $14 I paid. Skip McDonald's (their neighbor), or a bowl at Qdoba. This is the place to be. And I try to find places that are food sensitivity conscious, and this place has so many options for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc.Plus the gentleman behind the counter (owner I presume), was kind and friendly. When the cook was serving up my dish through the window, the guy at he counter teased back to the cook "chia later!"...I love a good dad joke any day! And I don't know if I was dreaming, but I'm pretty sure the cook was drumming with his spatula on the grill in the back to the song over the speakers.I was there less than 10 minutes, but it was such a happy experience. I can't wait to go back!“

“The staff is friendly and inviting the minute you walk in. The brewpub is decorated nicely with low lighting with lot to look at.We sat at the bar and received service immediately. I ordered the banh mi chicken sandwich with fries ($15) with a side of ranch ($1.50) and my husband ordered the blackened mahi tacos that came with chips and salsa ($14).Both items were SO GOOD! The chicken sandwich comes on a ciabatta roll that was soft and warm. The cabbage, radishes and cilantro on it were all fresh and crispy. The tacos came with two tacos and did only have one piece or fish on each taco but the taste was on point. Even the chips and salsa were tasty. I sometimes find chips and salsa at a restaurant can feel like an afterthought and these did not!We also each ordered a beer and they were both amazing! Our bill total with two meals and a beer each was $45.Expect to pay for parking while eating here. We only had to pay a dollar at a parking meter for an hour.“

“One of my new favorite spots for a warm drink and snacks. I believe the "Dirty Harry" (coffee and hot cocoa crossover) is a signature drink, and it may be my new favorite drink. Also their London Fog is probably one of the best I've had (I like it with the vanilla). They always seem to have something new to try, so I guess I'll have to keep going back. ?
Parking: A couple designated spots for customers around the side of the building. Also metered parking out front. Always seem to find a parking spot close by when I've stopped.
Wheelchair accessibility: Entryway is a step up. Inside can get tight when it's busy. Tables seem high for average wheelchair user. (Not in a wheelchair myself, just observed the location)“

“Wonderful food and service, I would highly recommend stopping here, even if it just for a slice of pie! The atmosphere was wonderful, though they use a microphone to announce which order is ready. I get the functionality, but it did take away from conversation every once in a while.“

“Choose your own beer flight was great! Indoor and outdoor dining is available. We ate indoors, and the ambiance is pretty killer. Everything was clean, and old wood floors gave an aire of history, I could almost hear who walked here before us. There was not a hint of that pungent brewery smell that you usually get in places like this.Outdoor dining is sectioned off from the sidewalk and parking without a chance of anyone driving into you.The food was good but nothing super spectacular. The freshly made root beer was phenomenal, and I would go back there for that, and the killer fries any time!“
