“The burgers here were absolutely delicious! I had The slabtown Burger with Sweet potato fries ( which were the best I ever had!) and my husband had the mushroom melt burger, with the chili cheese fries, and being from Detroit the Chilly needs some work, it was ok.Overall, the service was good and fast, and keep in mind the inside dining area is very small it's a historical home, but very nice and quaint. We will definitely return when we visit the area again.“
“Friendly, busy, and crowded place with delicious food and a fun atmosphere. We were lucky enough to get a booth as during our stay tables and booth did not stay empty for more than a minute! Definitely, this restaurant has everything right!!“
“Amazing burgers and fries. I had the Hula slider and it was absolutely amazing. I am always skeptical about pineapple on a burger and saturating the bun. This was perfect and absolutely delicious. I'm still dreaming out about it a few days later!“
“I usually never leave reviews for restaurants but god, their burgers are so good. Very friendly and prompt service and our food came out quickly. The decor inside creates an upbeat and comfortable atmosphere. 10/10, I'm definitely coming here “
“We love this place! It's family owned and operated. We have spoke to the wife that's also a waitress many times and they are very humble people that love doing what they do. The prices aren't outrageous and the portion sizes are huge! If you leave still hungry then that's on you! We drive over once a month to tc, and we always stop here to eat. They are always busy, but they make sure your taken care of. If you haven't been here, it's definitely worth the stop.“
“I went here as part of an after work event. There were 7 of us on the tubing hill and we had a great time. Prices were reasonable, all the staff were helpful and equipment and area were well maintained.I want to give a shout out to Titus who was working the top of the hill. You couldn’t ask for a more professional, polite, and happy person to oversee those about to tube down the hill. Great job Titus! There is plenty of parking. Recommend booking tubing ahead of time so you can pre fill out the waivers and make sure you have a spot.“
“Kind of a dive place but SUUUUPER fun and GREAT food. Our server Julie was hopping all over the place and kept us informed of when our order would be ready (they were really busy). My husband had the Bo Rito and LOVED it, I had the Thai salad with chicken and it was delicious! The chicken was cooked PERFECTLY. Not at all dry! The salad dressing was amazing. Seriously, I could eat this everyday. I had my first whiskey sour here and it was wonderful. Just wish they had a hot buttered rum. No one makes them anymore! It's quite the local hangout and Julie seemed to know everybody. There is a pool table, a bar you can sit at and restaurant seating for (I'm guessing) 50ish people. On Saturday mornings they play classic cartoons and breakfast is served all day everyday.I can't wait to go back. I only hope Julie is there when I do!“
“Service was incredible! The woman who took our order helped us more like a waitress and was so helpful! It made us feel so welcomed. Our food was great, all was well.Kid-friendliness: We have 4 kids and they were treated so kindly as they ordered.“
“This actually qualified as "fast" food, something of a rarity these days. The ladies at the counter were very friendly and efficient. So glad they don't have that terrible electronic ordering that the other place has. Talking to a person instead of tapping on a big screen is way faster.“
“Went here for a "Date Night" with my wife. Both servers were nice and helpful. I have food issues and they were patient with me and helped me find food I could eat.Vegetarian options: Lots of options.Dietary restrictions: Igave meat allergy, and the staff helped ne figure out what I can eat there.“
“Stopped in for a frozen custard dessert after dinner. After some confusion during the ordering process that caused a delay in receiving our food, our dessert was excellent. I had the strawberry sundae and my wife had the cherry shake. The staff was great about the delay. We were given two cards for free baskets at our next stop.“
“First off, this place is like stepping back in time to the 70's, wood panel walls, formica tabletops, old beer signs and other cool details, a lot of thought went into it, just a really cool vibe and staff was friendly and helpful. The new dining area on the other side of the patio has an old tube tv with vhs tapes you can play, the other tv was playing episodes of my favorite show Twin Peaks and they had cool merch, a shirt that looked like the Black Flag logo and one with Henry from Eraserhead on it (they must be huge Lynch fans like myself). The french fries were delicious and they give you an enormous amount of them, enough for like 3 people, I really do wish they had a smaller size, if it's just you you'll either walk out with a ton of them, I'll put mine in the air fryer or you'll just toss them and I don't like wasting food. Mine I got with the vinegar salt, to me they just tasted like normal salted fries. I got the basic Proper burger, shredded lettuce, pickles, american cheese, and a variation of the classic burger sauce, they call it a smashburger but it's not a smashburger, it's much bigger, doesn't have that super thin patty with the lacy edges and a hard sear, also it wasn't really seasoned all that well if at all, the bun was fancier than it needed to be for something like this and the burger sauce wasn't particularly flavorful, didn't stand out at all, I found myself dipping it in ketchup which I don't ever put on my burgers but it needed something extra. The burger itself was also kinda dry. You want to go out and get a better thing than you could make at home and I just make a better smashburger than this. I would definitely go back though, they had a ton of interesting sounding specialty burgers on a menu that seemed very well curated and maybe one of those would hit the spot more than the Proper.“
