I travel all over the U.S. and Canada for work and have been to more McDonald’s locations than I can count. I didn’t go inside this one, just used the drive-thru, but even from that, I could tell this place runs differently.

It was the peak of the lunch rush. They were slammed. But the line moved fast, the order was right, and everything flowed without a hitch. It honestly felt like this is how McDonald’s is supposed to work.

I also noticed the employees seemed calm and even happy, which says a lot about how things are run behind the scenes. I believe this might be a family-run location, and if so, McDonald’s corporate should really take a look at what they’ve built here. It stood out in the best way.“

“We really enjoyed the ice cream, the service and the small town feel. Twisted Cow has a nice selection of diner type meal choices, and the ice cream menu is ridiculous. It's right downtown McBain which means your in the heart of a proud farming community. Enjoy!“
