“A true gem. This place deserves to be an attraction, but I’m selfishly glad it isn’t. The staff are exceptionally friendly and will not hesitate to make conversation. It’s like being transported back to a time when people actually cared about anything. Fast service. Clean tables and bathroom. Totally comforting.
Strawberry shortcake sundae was superb. Real strawberries, real whipped cream. Turtle sundae was very good, warm fudge, good caramel, but I wish the nuts weren’t candied.
Hot fudge brownie sundae was very good, but brownie would benefit from being slightly less dense.
Egg salad sandwich was great. Simple, nothing fancy.
Chili dogs were great. We could have eaten them by the dozen.
Sloppy Joe was mediocre. Filling was too sweet. Bread needed more crust to keep shape. Just not to my taste.“

“Check out Backwoods BBQ at Woodland Sweets, US Highway 31 just north of Holiday Rd. Tasty BBQ pork, brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, smoky beans, potato casserole. The same couple have the food truck at Tractor Supply on 72 during the summer. (No ice cream or pizza for the winter.)“

“THE place to go for ice cream!! The raspberry sorbet is unique and to die for!! Little pieces of real raspberry all throughout. Very special. The team scooping greet you with smiles - it seems the love what they do!! We are regulars and don’t mind the 30 min drive to fill our cravings!! Atmosphere is unique with all the wood carvings and a covered porch. Love the pink sparkling lights in the trees! 💜“
