You can’t go wrong with Bardon’s. Fantastic ice cream, a local favorite AND they use fresh, real fruit in the fruity treats, not the fake stuff! No wonder the line wraps around the corner, especially on baseball nights.

Bardon's Wonder Freeze & Fire Pit BBQ is a local favorite for ice cream and BBQ. The brisket is great, honestly one of the best ever, and the ribs are a big hit, though some may be a bit tough. Meals pair well with sides like the broccoli salad and mac and cheese, or a chocolate malt to take down to the beach and enjoy overlooking Traverse Bay. The ice cream is fantastic, with generous serving sizes and incredibly reasonable prices. A Brownie Sundae with hot fudge is very yummy, and they use fresh, real fruit in the fruity treats. The variety of flavors is impressive, but the same scooper can mix flavors, like mint added to butter pecan. Orders can overflow, making them challenging to eat before melting, but the gals who wait on customers are very friendly. No wonder the line wraps around the corner, especially on baseball nights. Bardon's is a refreshing exception for excellent value and a memorable family experience.
