Our family was visiting Traverse City from out of state and noticed Bardon's several times driving by from where we stayed. Being a BBQ nut, I was curious. The family was starving later in the evening so I took a chance if they'd have any BBQ left and was pleasantly surprised they could fill a large order that time of day. Brisket was tender and tasty, pulled pork was delicious, everyone enjoyed the Mac and cheese (made with cavatappi pasta!) and the beans were amazing...
Bardon's offers so many flavours of toppings and frozen treat options you will be hard pressed to choose only one treat! You may need to stop by twice while visiting Traverse City. My favourite flavour is rum and butter. Yum!
I was hopeful for good things with this restaurant because it’s kind of a cool place located in the corner of a parking lot. Unfortunately, the brisket was OK, but the pulled pork was mealy and felt like it had been made a couple days before or potentially was shaved in a frozen state. I don’t quite know how else to explain it. I hope I just caught them on a bad day.
