“Fun spot with plenty of space and great beer. We visited on a weekend night and there was plenty of room but they were quite busy. There’s an excellent Mexican food truck called Bull and the Bear Kitchen. The Beef ‘n Queso sandwich is fantastic. Loved the beer, also, especially the Czech Pale Lager.“
“Went here on Sunday and it was by far the best brewery I tried my entire stay in TC. The workers were super nice. The beer is terrific. And that slushie they had was the single best drink I had all trip and in a very long time. Earthen Ales is a most stop“
“Update August 2024- We just visited here again with four adults, two toddlers, and a baby. The drinks and food were still great. It’s louder than we remember, but still a great time. Parking seemed a lot easier than last time with a lot nearby.
Thank you Right Brain for a very enjoyable and safe experience during Covid. This is located outside of the crowded (with many unmasked) downtown Traverse area, making it a great stop if you’re around and want to feel like you’re making a safer choice. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Check out the food truck for tasty eats if you go here.“
“What a great experience. The drink options were plentiful. I did a flight of beer before deciding which one to get a full glass of. There were all good, but two really stood out and made it tough to choose. I decided on the Bloody beer and will be back!“
“Great place. Simple menu but everything we had was very good. We specifically had the chips and quest, chicken taco signature style, pork taco signature and veggie signature. All were good to great with chicken and pork as excellent. Beer selection is vast. There is a board up on the wall near the register we missed until round two.“
“Hands down, the best tasting kombucha on the market! You can tell that Cultured Kombucha Co. truly cares about its customers as well as promoting community-wide health and wellness!“
“First time at Loco Boys and we went loco over their beer and food! Great vibe! Friendly staff. Awesome beer and authentic Mexican food. We tried their October Fest, Niebla (East Coast IPA) and El Mexigander (Mexican Dark) along with the Guacamole app, Barbacoa tacos and Bison Chorizo nachos! This is a MUST STOP when in TC!“
“Great staff, vibe, drinks and food! The place is huge! (That's what she said!) Stopped for a quick drink at the bar and Joe served up a great, dry cider along with his friendly, whitty banter. I decided I had to come back for the food. I heard Andrew makes the best burgers. Rumors are true! I had the MCBC and my friend had the Meat Dragon, both with housemade chips. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and huge! You have to unhinge your jaw a bit because it is a BIG, juicy ... burger. We started with the whipped feta with cauliflower toast and fig jam. The combo of the sweet, salty and crunch was delicious. This was confirmed by our neighbors at the bar who were drawn in by our mouth music and yum sounds #nomnom. The supreme flatbread and garden salad with mixed greens, tomatoes, and cucumbers was so good. I can't wait to try the wraps and the other burgers. Their gluten-free protocol is on point and their many gluten free options are really appreciated.
Grace made me a Purple Rain that was visually remarkable with its lavender streaks raining down into the clear, stiff drink. It was pretty and delicious. (That's what he said! ?)
This venue is huge with so many options for seating, pub tables, booths, sofas, fire pit, beer garden... Trivia night was packed and there were private parties the other nights I came in. It gets busy but the service doesn't suffer. The food is lightning fast and delicious and drinks creative and compelling. The beers will have to be on another visit, but the tastw of the Hot Fake Blonde was sweet and spicy with mango and jalapeño notes.“
“If you want just great beer, no crazy flavors, this is the place. There is no bad beer there, and the food is bonkers. Bonus, tons of live music.“

“Cannot say enough good things about Rare Bird. The beer selection is great, and they even have an impressive NA selection, too!! Burgers, black bean burgers, impossible burgers. This place has it all. And our kids are EVERYTHING. Thanks for a great dinner while we visited TC.“

“A cool place to eat and drink. I had the Hanger steak, a kind of rolled up piece of beef and my wife had the fish and ships. My wife ordered a stout and I had the Mission Point porter and both were terrific. Great staff and environs.
Parking: Located on a busy corner, we parked in the neighborhood and walked in.“

“My husband, myself, and our friends stopped in and were very impressed!! Every beer we tried was fantastic and we had fun playing the available card/board games they offered. There are a number of breweries in the area, but this one is a must when coming to TC! Staff are also incredibly kind; we will definitely be back!“
