Beautiful place, not entirely persuaded about the wine. But for sure the mood went down when the food appeared. This is not high quality fare, coming in paper cups??? pretty much what you find in many diners in the US. But the mood went even lower when it was time for the bill. For the same price I highly recommend going to La Becasse from 3 to 5 PM for their happy hour.

We spent the afternoon e-cycling between Sutton’s Bay and this winery. What a great stop on our way! We drank some really nice wines and enjoyed a lovely charcuterie board as well. A beautiful stop that we will certainly make again and again!

We came for the live music and loved the environment & ambience. We got the charcuterie board and pretzels and they were SO good! I’m pregnant so couldn’t try the wine but my husband tried a red that he enjoyed. Very family friendly which was just what we were looking for! Can’t wait to go back postpartum.

On Sunday 8/10/2025 my family and I visit for a wine run 5k that was held at shady lane cellars, we had a fantastic time, everyone was friendly and the food was great. What I'm a little confused by is I had a charcuterie board $25, pretzel bites $12, 2 small ice creams and 1 large ice cream... I was told that they couldn't close out my order until noon and that if I wasn't going to stay til then if was fine that they would just put a hold on my card and close it out at noon... I had no problem with this until I checked my bank account and was charged $94.13 and no I didn't have a glass of wine outside of the complimentary ones that was given to racers at the end of the race. I would very much appreciate if someone would reach out to me and explain the charges because I can't imagine how 3 ice creams could be an additional $57 on top of the other two items I purchased.
Update: I spoke with someone at Shady Lane Cellars and they more than rectified the situation!

We decided to take an afternoon trip to wine taste on the Leelanau Peninsula. We went to several wineries. Shady Acres was our favorite! The ambiance was awesome. There are beautiful areas to sit and enjoy your wine, and everyone was so friendly!
Fair warning to people that prefer red wine- Michigan is not known for their reds. If you want the best wines Michigan can offer stick with sweet whites like Rieslings. We have amazing ice wine also!

Had such a great time today! The wines were amazing and the food was delicious! The fire pit added such a great touch and smelled amazing! Anna helped us from the time we arrived and needed flights to checking out with a half case of wine at the end of the day. Can't wait to go again next year!
